Nix Alañon's PhoeNix Home Offers Modern Pieces With A Twist

Today, more than ever, the midcentury modern look is everywhere. If you dine in a contemporary restaurant tonight, there’s a good chance you’ll be seated in a chair that was inspired in the mid-'90s. Full of architectural allure and nostalgic, bold patterns and details, it is an aesthetic that remains forever timeless and sophisticated.
And that is exactly what’s reflected in the entrepreneurial spirit and artisanal influence of Phoenix Home, a furniture and lifestyle store owned by Interior Designer Nix Alañon. “Phoenix Home was formed out of the necessity of our interior design studio, FTA Design. We would always have custom furniture made since we could not find available pieces that fit our designs for our projects. Then, my friends would always ask me where I bought these furniture pieces and accessories,” he shares.
With a team that specializes in interior decorating, project management and supervision, Nix and his dedicated team takes pride in their ability to help clients with their design queries. “I love that we are given the opportunity to actually improve how people live in their homes. I draw most of my inspirations from travels and everyday experiences.”
Phoenix Home’s style emphasizes pared-down forms, contemporary patterns, and natural materials and a seamless flow between indoors and out that creates a medley of functional comfort and chic style. The look bridges the organic and the man-made, with one foot in the natural world and the other in a brave new territory that still has the power to surprise us today.
PhoeNix Home is located at 8485 Kalayaan Ave., Bgy. Poblacion, Makati City
