The exclusive grand opening event was hosted by Tim Yap, and was attended by more than a hundred VIPs. Guests at the launch were treated to a number of activities, to get them excited before the opening ceremony.
On-site activities like essential oil-making and tote bag personalization were the most notable. For the essential oils, SSI tapped wellness advocate Gina Evangelista of Oilyholics, and for the tote bag personalization booth, there was Calligramama and Fozzy Castro-Dayrit of the Fozzy Book.

Scrumptious cheeses, charcuteries, and fruits were also served to the guests, displayed buffet-style at the front of the West Elm store in Central Square Mall. The setup was absolutely delightful, done by Aperitif no less. The posh spread complemented the chic industrial, art deco furnishings and accents revealed to us when the store was finally unveiled.
The West Elm store now features the Fall 2018 collection, with its Manhattan living-inspired modern aesthetic. The items—from the sofas, desks, plates, and lamps—feature a modern, streamlined style, filled with retro accents, textures, prints, and bright pops of color. The items will bring in a bold and elevated style to anyone’s home.

Notable and must-see items are the Rosanna media console in yellow lacquer or the Phoebe chair in Pop Art Jacquard upholstery. Also unique is the Crescent swivel chair in Teal. If sleek, sexy leather is your thing, go with the gray leather Sloane sofa that is perfect for your loved one's man cave.
Velvet seatings and accessories like the Carlo mid-century chair in Olive, Roar + Rabbit swivel chair in Blush Pink, or the Paidge sofa in Ink Blue give an interior space a luxe vibe. The lush velvet Chinoiserie pillow or the pressed velvet pillow cover, available in shades of Stone, Midnight, and Copper, are also great choices.

The Faux Botanical Collection—with its floral pillows overlaid with geo crewel embroidery, deco-inspired lighting and retro encased glass vases—is perfect for the home that's going full-on Fall-themed this upcoming holiday season.
For home accents, look for the Cecil flat weave rug with abstract pattern and the Alloy rug and Mineral rug in soft tones, as well as the lush colorful throw pillows like the cotton canvas pillow covers and textured border pillow covers available in Dusty Blush, Midnight, Stone White, and Blue Teal.
At the event, guests were also given special edition tote bags with artwork by celebrity and artist Heart Evangelista-Escudero. The bag will also be on sale at the West Elm store in the coming months. Proceeds of the sale will go to Heart’s charity, St. Luke’s Corridor of Hope.
