Set-up a game night.
Plan a game night with your significant other—and your family, too!—prior to Valentine’s Day. Bring out the boardgames, or try something new like Dungeons and Dragons, or online party games like Jackbox. Or go the classic route and play charades or celebrity!

Have a movie marathon.
For Valentine’s, or the weekend leading up to it, why not vegetate on the couch to classic romcoms or you and your partner’s favorite movies? It’s a good way to unwind and relax—so pop some popcorn in the microwave and turn to your streaming platform of choice!

Decorate the house.
It may just be one day, but Valentine’s Day is a good excuse to decorate—especially if you’ve got little kids in the house. Bring out pink and red craft paper, crayons, and string, and get to it. It’s a good way to bond with your family, and makes the house feel a little bit more cozy!

Cook dinner together.
After a lovely, quiet day together celebrating your love, spend some time in the kitchen being each other’s sous chef. Cook your favorite dishes, your partner’s favorite meals, and help with the clean-up after. It may seem mundane, but there’s nothing sweeter than working towards something together. Eat dinner in candlelight—or moonlight even if you’ve got a rooftop—and bask in each other’s company!

Drink to your love.
End the night with your vino of choice, and toast to the years you’ve spent with your partner and the life you’ve made together. Valentine’s this year may just be at home, but this is a good reminder that it’s really about the person you love, and not the holiday!
