A private luxury

There are three things that make Diniview Villa Resort such a marvelous find: the private luxury it affords, its oneness with nature, and the design and architectural genius of its villas.

In normal circumstances, outside of pandemic time, Boracay is always full-to-the-brim with local guests and international tourists. This is why finding private luxuries like Diniview is one of a kind.

Before it was open to the public, the property started as a private home of Julia Lervik, who came from a family of artists in Sweden and has been a Boracay resident since 1990. And by 2007, the groundwork began for the resort. The resort was made up of private and spacious villas designed as the ultimate tropical escape amidst the lush jungle terrain, ready to accommodate couples, families, and small groups of friends traveling to Boracay, all-year-round.

Inspired by nature

Nature is what’s at the heart of Diniview, letting you experience the fullness of the Boracay beauty without the imposing structures that have been built in the island to cater to the growing number of tourists.

Unlike other properties, the Diniview landscape was conscientiously developed and contoured without disturbing nature throughout the years. This is apparent from a bird’s eye view perspective, where you see the villas tucked in between lush trees and the natural terrain. Diniview Villa Resort prides itself in being a green sanctuary, as the structures have been designed to preserve the trees.

The resort was also built with sustainable architecture in mind, using natural local materials such as grass and bamboo not just to highlight green living, but also to celebrate the beauty of local materials. Solar panels are installed to provide backup power, and guests are encouraged to respect nature by observing simple eco-friendly practices.

A design marvel

The third key element that makes Diniview so special is the architectural and design genius of their villas. With green living dictating the structural and design components of the property, all villas are designed to evoke an eco-chic elegance, letting you enjoy nature without sacrificing the luxuries of comfort and quality.

There are 8 types of villas at Diniview made to cater to all types of guests from couples to small families to a bigger group of friends: shell, sea, moon, sun, tree, sand, boat, and salt.

For couples, the 1-bedroom shell villa is a villa like no other. It’s a generous 104-sqm villa designed to integrate a unique mix of native materials from bamboo to driftwood and polished concrete. The concrete finishes are softened by the warm woods and gentle whites, creating a refreshing layout that blends effortlessly into the lush outdoors.

The shell villa, although made for couples, spoils you with space. The upper level is an open-design lounge area with a fully-equipped kitchen and a sundeck that offers stunning ocean views. On the lower level, the bedroom opens to the veranda and a private plunge pool.

For a medium-sized family, the tree villa is Diniview’s luxurious version of a tree house. The tree villa was designed around the big Talisay tree at the entrance, giving the villa its name. Outside, it looks just like an enormous nipa hut nestled among the trees. Once you step inside, the nipa hut theme flows elegantly, complete with a high bamboo and nipa ceiling, and a hanging duyan.

Some are tree people, some are boat people. If you’re a boat kind of person, you’ll love the genius of the boat villa, which was designed with an old boat found on the beach. Literally, the boat is integrated into the villa’s structure, and you’ll see parts of the bamboo float and hull sticking out of the roof if you lounge on the second-floor veranda.

For an even bigger group, you’ll want to book Diniview’s pièce de résistance, the salt villa. Designed in collaboration with renowned Swedish designer Alexander Lervik, this 214-sqm modern villa features Alexander Lervik’s bespoke furniture—from the chic lounge sofas and chairs, to the bar stools and candle holders that complement the contemporary tropical lifestyle setting.

Although the furniture pieces inside the salt villa are more modern compared to the other villas, the natural and local vibe still flows effortlessly inside and outside the space. Nipa and bamboo elements are used for the ceiling, and bamboo planks hold up the infinity edge pool that overlooks the stretch of the White Beach.
