We’re almost pushing a year in quarantine, and no doubt, it’s made a lot of us miss spending time in the comforts of nature, but the rewatch of some K-dramas that have featured green houses and gardens can prove to be inspiring. If anything, you can draw design pegs from them.
Gardens are scenic places par excellence. If you have a greenhouse, a terrace or a beautiful large window, you can try to get some beautifying ideas from the gardens or greenhouses that appear in the dramas. In fact, in this particular period when being in quarantine is still recommended, you can recreate a garden atmosphere with plants, lights and furnishing within the comfort of your own terrace, balcony or even greenhouse, if you are lucky enough to have it, or try to recreate a setting that is inspired by nature and the colors of flowers.

A Green House for Meditation and Wellness, Hyde Jekyll, Me (SBS, 2015)-
A gorgeous greenhouse appears in the first episode of Hyde Jekyll, Me (SBS, 2015). This drama starring Hyun Bin as Goo Seo-jin/Robin is a reimagining of the novel Dr. Jekyll and Mister Hyde that will fall in love with circus artist Jang Ha Na (Han Ji Min).

Here the greenhouse is part of Goo Seo-jin's house and represents a space dedicated to relaxation and meditation furnished with designer chairs and a beautiful fountain in classic style and many plants.

Secretary Kim's co-workers, Go Gwi-Nam and Kim Ji-A live in this apartment building with a lush roof top garden full of plants that are a mix of ornamentals and edibles.

A Garden As An Intimate Event Space from While You Were Sleeping, SBS, 2017
While you were sleeping is a drama starring Lee Jong-suk and Bae Suzy that tells the story of a woman who's dreams predicting people's misfortunes and a prosecutor who wants to stop those predictions from coming true. This garden is used in the last scene of the drama for a wedding.

This was set in First Garden Paju. Opening in April 2019, it is located in Paju's neighborhood Sangjiseok part of the Unjeong neighborhood, located around 1hr 30min from Seoul by public transport. First Garden Paju is a nature theme park with greenhouses, botanical garden, ponds, picnic areas. Its Italian garden with statues and fountains is inspired by antiquity. There are also areas for banquets, weddings and events.

My Holo Love (Netflix, 2020) is a drama that tells the story of Han So-yeon (Go Sung-hee) a young woman who, due to childhood trauma, cannot distinguish traits of people's faces. The encounter with artificial intelligence Holo (Yoon Hyun-min) will allow her to overcome the trauma and fall in love. Han So-yeon visits the First Garden Paju along with Holo.
