This Year, Keep Your Interiors Cool With Neo-Mint

Not into classic blue? Pick one of these colors that are expected to trend in 2020

Neo-mint

World’s leading trend forecasting authority, WGSN and Coloro, possibly Pantone’s biggest rival in the color market have named Neo-Mint the color of 2020.

Jane Boddy, WGSN’s color expert, and the christened founder of the color neo-mint points to the landscape of 2020 as the inspiration for naming Neo-mint the color of the year.  Characterized by a move towards a “greener, more sustainable approach to technology,” the year 2020 celebrates a cleaner, greener future.  In 2018, 195 nations signed an agreement for the 2020 to be the year of a cleaner earth in the Paris Agreement.

“In 2020, we see the world’s tallest building, the Jeddah Tower, completed in Saudi Arabia.  This amazing building has been designed in the style of architecture known as neo-futurism.  This building has been designed with bio-materials and lots of green-tinted glass and a slightly more sustainable approach as well.  The Mars Rover Landing in Mars in order to understand Mars as a place we can live in the future.  Quite interesting, if we look back at NASA’s old posters… [they convey] a hopeful, tech-driven future,” Jane Boddy says.

TDC Exclusive | Hello Yellow by Humming Tree The brief was extremely sharp; that the space was to have two lives. The building should adorn an enjoy-work ethos and to have an exceedingly dynamic space, with heaps of daylight. The client was after a minimal, outlandish look. “We took inspirations from commercial and art gallery spaces, as opposed to typical office interiors”says Afnan & Arun founders of Humming Tree Limotex is a Construction / Builders company with 4o years of experience in the industry. As Humming Tree was approached for their quirky taste in design, this workspace had to be distinguished from other builder’s office which is typically designed keeping exposed materials in mind.
