Make Mom Feel Like A Queen With These Flowers
Give your mama the royal treatment on Mother’s Day with these floral arrangements
With Charles III, King of the United Kingdom's recent coronation, the world saw the power of flowers to commemorate a special occasion. Westminster Abbey was bedecked with 120 kinds of foliage and flowers grown in the UK. Viewers saw breathtaking arrangements with jasmines, honeysuckles, tulips, ranunculus, hellebore, honeysuckle, rosemary, wild broom, and many more.
Florist Shanne Connolly, noting that the King is a passionate environmentalist, decorated the High Altar with flowers sustainably sourced from the Royal Horticultural Society which included cuttings from a beech tree that was planted by the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The Tomb of the Unknown Warrior, on the other hand, was adorned with lily of the valley and forget-me-knots, Princess Diana’s favorite flowers.
Indeed, flowers carry with them symbolism and sentiment, making them meaningful gifts as a gesture that is loaded with much affection. They have been accompanying Royals in so many life’s seasons and occasions for their sheer power to portray many positive feelings: as a welcoming gesture; a symbol of their importance; a tribute to their polish and beauty.
