The Venue For Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin’s Wedding Does Details Like No Other

Weddings are the stuff of dreams— especially when the couple marching down the aisle are none other than superstar international celebrities, Son Ye-Jin and Hyun Bin.  The duo stole many hearts, uplifting them to record-breaking K-Drama highs as the iconic couple in the 2019 blockbuster, Crash Landing On You.  Who can forget Son Ye-Jin’s Yoon Se-ri, the privileged South Korean beauty company heiress who literally crash landed into North Korean territory and into the dashing Captain Ri’s heart, a role lovingly essayed by Hyun Bin?  Since then, both have become household names.

When they announced their engagement via Son Ye-Jin’s Instagram account on Ferbuary 10 this year, they sent fans to yet another level of happiness, cheering them on to their next chapter.  “I thought long and hard about how to share this story because it’s an important one. I found someone to spend the rest of my life with. Yes… it’s him. Boy meets girl, recognizes each other in the crowd, promises to build a future together…I couldn’t imagine! It happened so naturally…But, isn’t that destiny?” Son Ye-jin’s Instagram post read, while Hyun Bin announced this statement through his management company’s social media account:

“I am writing this because I wanted to tell the fans, who cared about me and gave me great interest and love despite my lacking in many ways, first the most important decision of my life… I have made an important decision of marriage and step carefully in the second act of my life. I made a promise with her who always makes me smile. Let us walk through the days that lie ahead together.”

The many details of the event are sure to unfold in the next coming days.  Meanwhile, we take you inside the Aston House, the wedding venue.  Taking on the Jacobean style, the site was designed by Wilson And Associates, inspired by Aston Hall in Birmingham, England.  

Various luxury brands have used this venue that boasts of a grand room overlooking the Han River.  Using partitions, this room can be subdivided into four smaller rooms, outfitted with luxury furniture pieces.  The garden has gorgeous views of Han River and Mount Acha.

No stranger to the glamor of Hallyuland, The Aston House in Walkerville Hotel & Resort have also been used as a location for Sisyphus: The Myth (JTBC, 2021); Backstreet Rookie (SBS, 2020), Touch Your Heart (TvN, 2019); Extraordinary You (MBC, 2016) and The Golden Bride (SBS, 2007-2008).
