Imee Marcos for “opening the discussion” on alleged irregularities in former President Rodrigo Duterte’s arrest, adding that cases should be filed against those involved in her father’s apprehension.</p><p>Marcos this week released the additional findings of her committee’s congressional investigation, saying that the Ombudsman should investigate two Cabinet secretaries, two police officials, and a diplomat.</p><p>“Nagpapasalamat ako kay Sen. Imee dahil binuksan niya ang pag-uusap kung ano ang ginawa nila, anong mali na ginawa nila kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte,” the Vice President said in a chance interview in Leyte.</p><p>“Ngayon gusto naming makita na ma-file-an ng kaso ‘yung mga tao na may kasalanan sa kung anong nangyari sa pagdukot kay Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte,” she said, without naming which officials she was referring to.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/4/29/imee-marcos-wants-ombudsman-probe-on-cabinet-officials-tagged-in-duterte-arrest-1251">Imee Marcos wants Ombudsman probe on Cabinet officials tagged in Duterte arrest</a></div><p>“Ngayon, kung sasabihin ng administrasyon na hindi iyon nila ginawa at hindi iyon political ang pagkuha nila kay Pangulong Duterte, dapat nakikita natin na may mga kaso ang mga taong ito,” she said.</p><p>Marcos said that those responsible for Duterte’s arrest include Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla, Philippine National Police Chief Gen. Marcos’ statements on Tuesday, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said: “Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
