<p>MANILA — Ruth Hernandez conceded defeat to Sol Aragones in Laguna&#x27;s gubernatorial elections on Tuesday. </p><p>With about 78 percent of elections returns transmitted as of 10:55 a.m., Aragones so far secured about 501,000 votes compared to Hernandez&#x27;s 435,000 votes.</p><p>On Facebook, Hernandez thanked her supporters and wished Aragones a successful term as governor.  </p><p>&quot;To Governor-elect Sol Aragones, Congratulations, I wish you well as you lead the province of Laguna,&quot; she said. </p><p>Her husband Ramil Hernandez, the incumbent and last-term governor, also thanked their supporters, adding that everything the election result was part of God’s plan.</p><p>He is running as representative of Laguna&#x27;s Second District.
