A low pressure area over the West Philippine Sea moved farther away from Luzon on Monday morning but could still develop into a storm, weather bureau PAGASA said. At 8 a.m., the LPA was located 300 kilometers west of Bacnotan, La Union, according to PAGASA.It may develop into a tropical cyclone and will be called Auring if it forms inside the Philippine area of responsibility.The LPA and southwest monsoon will bring rains over most of Luzon and Visayas this Monday.Ilocos Region, Abra, and Benguet will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the LPAWhile Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, and Antique will experience occasional rains due to the habagat.Metro Manila, Bicol Region, and the rest of Visayas, Central Luzon, Mimaropa, and Calabarzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the southwest monsoon.As of 5 a.m., a Yellow Level Heavy Rainfall Warning is in effect over northern mainland Palawan.Flooding and landslides remain possible in the area.
