WATCH: This Video Of Jodi Sta. Maria Reading The Letter She Wrote For Her Son Thirdy Will Make You Teary-Eyed
In our lifetime, we will chance upon people who will touch our lives in ways we didn't expect. Every person we meet, we should try to learn something from, in order to become a better individual and lead a better life.
For multifaceted woman Jodi Sta. Maria, it's the arrival of her son Thirdy that has had such a positive impact in her life. Becoming a mother significantly contributed to how complete and contented she feels now. The responsibility of raising a child prompted Jodi to (wo)man up and be the best version of herself, all for the sake of Thirdy. Becoming a mother has made Jodi selfless, yet, at the same time, it has also inspired her to look deep within herself and make her core stronger—her inner strength and unparalleled drive guiding her and Thirdy towards the right direction.

To my son and my future children,
When you came into this world, I knew right then that you were the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Everything that was previously ordinary and mundane has now become brighter and more beautiful because you were seeing it with me. You taught me about appreciating real beauty, subtle beauty and the beauty of simplicity.
I pray and hope that you continue to be a stand up young man. I pray and hope that the lessons I share to you won’t be forgotten and have set your moral compass. Thank you for being a good son. As your mom, it is my privilege to impart these important truths to you.
1. Be accepting of who you are. You are unique and you are beautiful. Don’t allow the world to dictate who you should or shouldn’t be.
2. Beauty doesn’t come from outward adornment but from the inner self. A gentle and peaceful spirit is radiant and that shine can’t be dulled. That’s what you look for; that’s what you work for.
3. The best OOTD is when you’re clothed with dignity and strength. Clothes may make a man but character never goes out of style.
4. It’s about finding balance and harmony with your heart, mind and soul—the trinity of our humanity. Have a compassionate heart, a positive mind and a humble soul.
Live your life, anak. Live a life that you can be proud of. Be a beacon of light for those who are looking for it. I will always be here for you.
Love,
Mama
