Watch: 10CM Covers “Raining in Manila” by Lola Amour

Get ready to hear him sing his hit K-drama tracks live onstage, too, at his upcoming tour in Manila this August!

South Korean singer/songwriter Kwon Jung-yeol, popularly known as 10CM, delighted his Pinoy fans when he did a cover of Filipino rock band Lola Amour’s “Raining in Manila.” This post came two days after he announced the Manila leg of his “Closer to You” tour, happening this August 31 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay.

On Instagram, Lola Amour expressed their appreciation of Kwon’s cover and commented on his post: "Wow! Thanks for covering our song!!! Honored!"

The 2024 10CM Asia Tour <10CM Closer to You> in Manila is organized by Cornerstone Entertainment. It was supposed to be held at the New Frontier Theatre in Cubao, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the venue was changed to the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay.

The ticket selling was rescheduled, finally resuming last June 15 via TicketWorld and all SM Tickets outlets. The tickets are priced at Php9,000 (Platinum); Php8,000 (SVIP); Php7,000 (VIP); Php5,500 (Gold); Php3,500 (Silver); and Php2,000 (Bronze).

10CM was a Korean folk-pop duo composed of Kwon Jung-yeol (vocal) and Yoon Cheol on guitar; the two were high school buddies. Their name was a reference to the height difference between them. Their music was notable for its use of djembe (a goblet-shaped drum played by hands originating from Africa).

Unfortunately, Yoon Cheol quit the band because of health issues and left the 10CM band and brand to Kwon Jung-yeol as a solo artist.

Later on, 10CM became popular for his hit K-Drama tracks such as "But It’s Destiny" from Crash Landing on You, "Lean on Me" from Hotel Del Luna, "Drawer" from Our Beloved Summer, "Tell Me It’s Not a Dream" from Queen of Tears, and "Spring Snow" from Lovely Runner
