Here Are the Highlights of the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards

Some stars reunited at the recently-held Blue Dragon Film Awards, which honors this year’s top film productions and figures

<p>Last <strong>November 24</strong>, South Korean stars lit up the red carpet and opening ceremony of the recent <strong><a href="https://metro.style/people/celebrities/blue-dragon-film-awards-2022-guests-winners/34326" target="_blank">Blue Dragon Film Awards</a></strong> at <strong>KBS Hall</strong> in Seoul, South Korea. The annual awards celebrates excellence in cinema, outstanding film figures, and the overall film industry. Featuring this year’s top productions—<strong><em>Smugglers</em></strong>, <em><strong>The Night Owl</strong></em>, and <strong><em><a href="https://metro.style/culture/film-and-tv/thoughts-about-korean-film-concrete-utopia/36231" target="_blank">Concrete Utopia</a></em></strong>—the prestigious event gathered <em>Hallyu</em>’s greatest entertainers and showbiz personalities.</p><div><br/></div><p>Some A-listers also had the chance to reunite at the celebration like <strong><em><a href="https://metro.style/culture/film-and-tv/metro-editors-react-to-the-finale-of-vincenzo/30089" target="_blank">Vincenzo</a></em></strong> leads <strong><a href="https://metro.style/culture/film-and-tv/song-joong-ki-s-most-swoonworthy-roles/29113" target="_blank">Song Joong Ki</a></strong> and <strong><a href="https://metro.style/people/celebrities/about-korean-actress-jeon-yeo-been/29380" target="_blank">Jeon Yeo Been</a></strong>, who embraced and later engaged in a catching-up conversation. A <a href="https://x.com/yeobeenfiles/status/1728113267644723451?s=20" target="_blank">viral video</a> showing Joong Ki jumping in joy as he spotted his co-star Yeo Been is circulating as well. Eagle-eyed witnesses, however, noticed <strong><em><a href="https://metro.style/culture/film-and-tv/the-childe-movie-review-kim-seon-ho-kang-tae-joo/35873" target="_blank">The Childe</a></em></strong> headliner <strong><a href="https://metro.style/people/celebrities/kim-seon-ho-the-childe-film-first-teaser/35554" target="_blank">Kim Seon Ho</a></strong>’s encounter with Joong Ki, too. The two even shared a heartwarming hug on stage.</p><div><br/></div><p>To honor the recipients, returning hosts <strong>Kim Hye Soo</strong> and <strong>Yoo Yeon Seok</strong> led the program. The list of awardees includes actors <strong><a href="https://metro.style/people/celebrities/best-actor-film-baeksang-arts-awards-lee-byung-hun/25527" target="_blank">Lee Byung Hun</a></strong> (<em>Concrete Utopia</em>), <strong><a href="https://metro.style/people/celebrities/get-to-know-school-nurse-files-star-jung-yu-mi/27252" target="_blank">Jung Yu Mi</a></strong> (<em>Sleep</em>), <strong>Jo In Sung</strong> (<em>Smugglers</em>), Jeon Yeo Been (<em>Cobweb</em>), and many more. The movie <em>Smugglers</em>, meanwhile, reigned supreme as it racked up a total of four trophies—<strong>Best Picture</strong>; <strong>Best Supporting Actor</strong>; <strong>Best New
