5 Things We Love About Jessy Mendiola and Luis Manzano’s Wedding in Palawan

Here are the beautiful and heartwarming highlights of the #JessGotLucky beach ceremony

Celebrity couple Jessy Mendiola and Luis “Lucky” Manzano recently tied the knot for the second time around at Club Paradise Palawan. The two celebrated their third wedding anniversary by holding a church wedding following their civil wedding in February 2021 at The Farm at San Benito in Batangas. On Instagram, Jessy and Luis posted some snippets from the big day, which was set by the beach.

In one of the posts, Jessy expressed how grateful she is to have experienced such a wonderful moment in her lifetime. “Oh, what a wonderful feeling to be walked down the aisle by your parents. Seeing Rosie and Luis at the end of the aisle will be a memory embedded in my heart (and mind) forever,” she captioned her post. “Thank you, Lord God, for making this happen.”

Jessy also thanked their suppliers and sponsors who made the celebration a much more creative and memorable gathering: Kusie Ho, Bianca Vergara, and Patty Yap (Jessy’s glam team); Peps Silvestre, Rex Atienza, and Jay Sarmiento (Luis’ grooming team); Patricia Santos (Jessy’s beach and chapel wedding dress and Rosie’s dress); Doreen Odvina of Shoepatos (Jessy and Rosie’s footwear); Eve the Label (robes); Silk Cocoon (Lucky’s beach and church outfits); Styled by StyList, Inc. (Lucky’s styling); Pat Dy (photography); and Bob Nicolas (wedding film).

Other suppliers/sponsors include Austeen Soriano (entourage gowns), Angeline Quinto and Daryl Ong (entertainment), Father Tito Caluag (priest and officiator), Events by Amanda Tirol (events planning); Gideon Hermosa (venue styling and floral decors), Neonovelties (invitations), DJ Toons & DJ Ace (music), Atom Ungson (host), Nina Leather PH (giveaways), Honeyglazecakes (mini cakes), Voicebank PH (Audio guestbook), Manila Diamond Studio (jewelry), Extraordinail (nails), and New Lounge (lashes).

Scroll down and see what we love about the #JessGotLucky wedding:

1. The location

Known as the Philippines’ last ecological frontier, Palawan is the perfect place to be for #JessGotLucky to transpire. The natural backdrop of Club Paradise complements the event design, and nothing beats tying the knot and saying “I do’s” by the beach and in front of the ocean’s horizon—with your friends, family, and better half! Prior to the beach ceremony, Jessy and Luis got married in a chapel first. In the past, the pair first tied the knot in an intimate civil wedding at The Farm at San Benito.

2. Jessy’s six outfit changes for the whole wedding affair

In terms of wedding ensembles, Jessy knows no bounds as she donned six custom frocks in total throughout the wedding affair. She liked working with the same set of designers whom she has tapped before for her civil wedding, too. For her prenup shoot, she wore a Neric Beltran number—a white bikini paired with a beaded skirt. She also looked ethereal in her Debbie Co tube silk dress. During the welcome dinner, Jessy chose a Martin Bautista creation, which features a flowy silk fabric. Patricia Santos, meanwhile, took care of Jessy’s two wedding gowns. Boom Sason, on the other hand, was in charge of crafting sophisticated halter neck piece for the reception.

3. Baby Peanut as the “little bride”

During the wedding ceremony, Jessy and Lucky’s daughter Rosie a.k.a. Baby Peanut was the sweetest and cutest little tot in her Patricia Santos dress. She walked the aisle and was waiting for her mother as well at the end of the line alongside her father. She took on the role of “little bride” in her parents’ church wedding.

4. The venue’s dreamy décor

Jessy and Luis made the best choice when it comes to how the look of the event would be. Made possible by celebrity event stylist and designer Gideon Hermosa, the beachside setting was inspired by the ebb and flow of the ocean. Adorned with arches, flowers, fairy lights, and organic structures, the festive ceremony was a dream come true for the couple.

5. A touching family gathering

There is no better way to celebrate a momentous occasion than by gathering your loved ones all in one place, and that’s exactly what happened at #JessGotLucky. The wedding ceremony was made even more special with the couple’s family in attendance. Lucky’s mom and dad—Star for All Seasons Vilma Santos and former politician-host-actor Edu Manzano were even captured in one of the photos, huddled beside each other, and Department of Finance Secretary Ralph Recto, Vilma’s husband, graced the event, too.

What made it even more of a dream wedding was how Jessy’s parents were finally able to walk her down the aisle. They were not able to attend Jessy and Luis’ first wedding due to the pandemic.

According to Jessy, “@luckymanzano and I promised each other that when the time is right, we would push through with our dream wedding. Our dream was to get the Lord’s blessing on our union and we wanted both our families present during that special moment. It was also the first time Rosie met my whole family, from my parents down to her cousins.”

Congratulations and best wishes, Jessy and Luis!
