In Photos: ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2022 Part 1 Highlights

The much-awaited annual Kapamilya show, dubbed this year as "Tayo ang Ligaya ng Isa't Isa: The ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2022," aired its first part on December 17. And it was an absolute treat filled with love, laughter, music, and dance performances.   

Kapamilya premier love team Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla kicked off the ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2022 with the song "Tuloy na Tuloy pa rin ang Pasko." The real-life couple was later joined onstage by their 2 Good 2 Be True cast mates.

Magandang Buhay momshies Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Jolina Magdangal-Escueta, and Melai Cantiveros-Francisco were the next performers. They did an "Abakada ng Pasko" medley with a twist: a cute showdown with their kids. 

The "12 Days of Pinoy Christmas" song number by the Love in 40 Days cast followed, led by Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte who later performed alongside their cast mates Benedix Ramos, Chie Filomeno, Andi Abaya, Kobie Brown, and Zabel Lamberth.

Next were Joshua Garcia, Jane de Leon, and Janella Salvador who performed "Pasko sa Pinas" and shared the stage with their fellow Darna cast members. 

This was followed by a Christmas carol medley, featuring The Iron Heart team with Richard Gutierrez, Sue Ramirez, Jake Cuenca, Sofia Andres, Dimples Romana, Kyle Echarri, DJ Jhaiho, Karina Bautista, Enzo Pineda, and Louise Abuel.

The It's Showtime cast was also part of the show, entertaining viewers with funny performances one after another. Vice Ganda kicked off the segment, performing while going around the ABS-CBN building. He later joined his co-hosts Ogie Alcasid, Amy Perez, Kim Chiu, Ryan Bang, Jhong Hilario, Teddy Corpuz, Jugs Jugueta, Jackie Gonzaga, Cianne Dominguez, MC & Lassy, and Ion Perez onstage. 

Making a grand entrance after was Ivana Alawi, Vice Ganda's co-star in the upcoming Star Cinema movie Partners in Crime, who did a hilarious lip sync battle with the "Unkabogable Star" to the tune of Adele's "Rise Up."

The next segment was a tribute to OFWs with performances by Gary Valenciano, Angeline Quinto, Rachel Alejandro, Nikki Valdez, Jason Dy, Elaine Duran, JM Yosures, and Khimo Gumatay.

The ABS-CBN Christmas Special wouldn't be complete without the Filipino Christmas icon Jose Mari Chan, who sang alongside Regine and Ogie Alcasid. This segment segued into a love-filled part as Kapamilya duos and trios emerged onstage one by one: Darna's Joshua Garcia, Jane de Leon, and Janella Salvador; KD Estrada and Alexa Ilacad (KDLex); Jeremiah Lisbo, Kaori Oinuma, and JC Alcantara; and Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte; Jayda and Aljon Mendoza; Gail Banawis and Ralph Malibunas; Andi Abaya and Kobie Brown; Charlie Dizon and Carlo Aquino; Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin; Janine Gutierrez and Paulo Avelino; JM de Guzman and Kim Chiu; and Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano.

The stage then turned into a dance floor with energetic performances by Darren Espanto; Andrea Brillantes with drag queens Gigi Moan, Bloodylyn, Eyyygatha, and Cassey Ping; BINI; AC Bonifacio, Francine Diaz, Krystal Brimner, and Sheena Belarmino; BGYO; and Maymay Entrata. 

Batang Quiapo co-stars Coco Martin and Lovi Poe also joined the ABS-CBN Christmas Special. The two sang "Ikaw ang Aking Mahal."

Concluding the first part of "Tayo ang Ligaya ng Isa't Isa: The ABS-CBN Christmas Special 2022" were Kathryn and Daniel who sang "Baby, It's Cold Outside."
