Alex Diaz Stars in the International Jukebox Musical Movie "Glitter & Doom"
The 27-year-old multitalented artist is currently filming in Mexico City for his very first international acting gig
Filipino artists are truly world-class. The latest proof of that is the starring role multitalented Scottish-Filipino artist Alex Diaz snagged in the international fantastical romance film Glitter & Doom.
The LGBTQIA+ jukebox musical movie is told through the music of the Indigo Girls. Amy Ray and Emily Saliers make up this Grammy-winning American folk rock music duo that has become known for advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights and supporting this community.
This project is Alex's very first international gig, and he's truly perfect for the role that will allow him to showcase both his acting and singing skills.
Alex auditioned for the role via his agent in LA who he met online during the pandemic. It was in July 7 this year when he was told that he got the part. He then flew to Mexico City in early September, to start shooting for the film.
According to his management, Cornerstone Entertainment, "It was a very challenging one for Alex because he had to do all the training online, especially the juggling part. Glitter is basically a character who wants to run away to the circus. So anything you can imagine about doing the circus, Alex just had to prepare for. Everything was done via Zoom and was given such a little period of time before he went to LA to finally meet his coach for physical training...
