Look! Andi Eigenmann And Philmar Alipayo Are Now Engaged!

Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo are now engaged! The Metro.Style cover star and soon-to-be mom of three shared the happy news on social media, captioning her post with: "I never thought about how my engagement would go because quite honestly, I didn’t think I’d have one. It would’ve been ok regardless, but it did happen. And it happened the way I wanted it and so much more."

The Instagram post, which revealed that Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo are now engaged, came with a photo of the couple out in the water, basking in newly-engaged bliss while showcasing her engagement ring. Andi described the proposal to be "Nothing grand. Unprompted, simple and oh so sincere." It was something that truly fits their personality as a couple⁠—as two people, who are passionate about surfing and living the island life, coming together and deciding to ride the waves of life.

Hours before Andi made their engagement Instagram-official, both Andi and Philmar hinted at another milestone in their family life that took place on their holiday getaway in Anilao, Batangas. 

Last December 18, they uploaded the first part of their holiday getaway vlog on their YouTube channel, "Happy Islanders," the highlights of which were Philmar trying freediving, Ellie going scuba diving, and little Lilo catching glimpses of dolphins. 

Earlier today, December 20, the part two of their vlog was released, which showed the family enjoying water sports activities and hiking on Mt. Gulugod Baboy. But as it turns out, those weren't all to this vlog. On their third day on vacation, Philmar proposed to Andi! 

The proposal took place with just the two of them on a rainy, foggy day by a balcony. "After a few moments of silence, papa started whispering nice things to me about our life together and our growing family. He doesn't normally talk about his feelings a lot so I was surprised." Andi could barely hear him at that point. When Philmar talked louder, he told her: "I've been wanting to spend time with you for a while." As their heart to heart conversation got deeper and deeper, she was trying her best to hide her kilig from hearing so many beautiful and romantic things from her partner that she doesn't usually hear. They hugged, they cried, they laughed until Philmar finally asked her: "From my whole heart, I am asking you if you will marry me." 

Andi was sitting on his lap the whole time, then Philmar asked her to stand up, so he could pull out the ring from his pocket and, of course, get down on one knee. "I started laughing and crying at the same time," she shared about the moment when one of the best surprises of her life was unfolding. "I didn't know what to say or do. So I took the ring and hugged him." Speechless, all Andi could say was that the ring was so pretty. More candid moments between the couple followed, with the two funnily asking each other whether to put on the ring on the left or right ring finger, or whether Andi should put it on herself or Philmar should be the one to do it.

Of course, Andi was ecstatic to say yes to him! At the end of the vlog announcing that Andi Eigenmann and Philmar Alipayo are now engaged, she captioned, "So stoked to be riding the waves of life with you forever."

Andi and Philmar are parents to one-year-old Lilo who, along with Andi's daughter Ellie, will welcome a baby brother soon. Andi announced her third pregnancy last August.
