Andi Eigenmann Gets A Gold YouTube Play Button For Her Channel, Happy Islanders
It's definitely one more thing to be happy about for this island gal!
In spite of everything else, 2020 is looking like it's Andi Eigenmann's year.
It's been one happy milestone after another for this actress, mom of two, and healthy living advocate beginning with her sweet second anniversary with her partner Philmar Alipayo, her second daughter Lilo's upcoming first birthday, and most recently, her awesome YouTube surprise!
The YouTube gold play button, more officially known as The Gold Creator Award, is based on a channel's subscriber count (a silver button is given for a channel that reaches 100,000 subscribers, gold for one million, and diamond for 10 million) but is given with the discretion of the video sharing website.
Andi's first daughter Ellie, who is based in Manila, took charge of receiving the award on behalf of her mom. She even did the unboxing for her! Andi lives in Siargao with Philmar and Lilo, which means she couldn't do any of this herself and will have to wait for some time until she gets to see and hold her award herself.
Those who follow Andi on social media aren't all that surprised about the news of her award and can all agree that the recognition is well-deserved.
That's because Andi has consistently used her powerful social media presence to talk about body positivity, the true meaning of happiness, life as a young mother, the realities of relationships, her unconventional decision to move to the province, a wellness-focused lifestyle, everything beach living-related, and the joys of raising two young girls.
While her Instagram page is peppered with well thought out messages and points of self reflection, her YouTube channel gives us a glimpse of the unscripted, personal, no-pretenses and sometimes hilarious BTS moments that make up her everyday experiences.
She has uploaded 14 videos so far and each of them provide first person perspectives into Andi's happy islander life.
Her most popular video to date is one where she and Philmar spend a meal with their neighbors. Together, they dine on fresh island fare like clams, a variety of fish, and fruit! It's also when Andi tries kinilaw (raw fish cooked in vinegar) for the first time.
Another popular watch is the 10-minute walkthrough video featuring Andi and her family out on a typical day at the beach. It's full of surfing, snacking on coconut and talisay tree fruit, and of course, bonding with little Lilo who's growing up in one of the most beautiful beachside destinations in the world.
Of course, Andi's island life can't possibly be whole without Ellie playing a part in it, too. Andi has a handful of videos featuring the ate in the family when she's in Siargao, as well as when Andi is back in the city with her.
If you haven't already checked out Andi's YouTube channel, now is the perfect time to do so!
