Andi Manzano Threw A Unique Baby Shower To Celebrate The Upcoming Arrival Of Her Second Baby

“I just realized that after Christmas, I can give birth anytime!” host and soon-to-be mom of two Andi Manzano told Metro.Style. Now on her third trimester, she can barely contain her excitement as she prepares for the much-awaited arrival of her second daughter.

To celebrate motherhood, Andi decided to throw a unique baby shower, spending an afternoon with new moms at Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital in Sta. Cruz, Manila.

The hospital has been the go-to of pregnant women from all over the Philippines, and provides them and their newborns affordable health care. Instead of receiving gifts for her baby shower, Andi decided to give back instead, taking this opportunity to share her blessings to the less fortunate, even in her own little way.

“I wanted to do something different. I wanted to give more than receiving all the time because we’re already blessed. There are a lot of people out there who don’t have the means to buy what they need, so we decided to do this and visit Fabella, just to talk and get to know them, and give a small gift to help them,” Andi shared.

"Pregnancy has taught me how, like when you have your first, you’re already amazed by how much love you can give. I’m at that point where I’m still amazed how a mother can love."

In partnership with Pampers, Andi brought everyone some food for thought, sharing her motherhood experiences, and gave each mom a baby gift pack.

After raising Olivia, Andi believes she's more equipped with parenting hacks she has learned throughout her journey. She advised, “Always bring everything or anything that will entertain her. In my case, I bring a lot of coloring books and activity books which she likes doing. Sometimes, I bring a little lego bag for her to just play around because sometimes she gets bored.” Andi adds having snacks in your bag (for you and your little one!) is a must!

Her short but meaningful time inside the hospital is what Andi describes as an eye-opener. “I think everyone who would want to do something for the community should go. You know, just get out of your comfort zone, get out of what you’re used to and just really open your world to reality–how hard life is and how people suffer, and that way you’ll realize how blessed you are,” she said. She looks into doing more charity work like this again in the future.
