Seo Ji-Hye And Kim Jung-Hyun Are Reportedly Dating—Could They Be The Next CLOY Co-Stars To Become A Real-Life Couple?
Awww, their agencies denied the dating rumors! We're still shipping Seo Dan and Gu Seung-jun anyway
Seo Ji-hye and Kim Jung-hyun are reportedly dating, according to Korean media outlet Dispatch. Could this be another Crash Landing on You (CLOY) couple turned real-life sweethearts, following the beautiful love story of Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin?
Earlier today, Seo Ji-hye and Kim Jung-hyun made headlines because of dating rumors that stemmed from photos of the two, wherein they were spotted entering an apartment building.
Dispatch reported that Seo Ji-hye and Kim Jung-hyun have been dating for about a year, shortly after CLOY's finale in February last year.
The reports further stated that, last year, Kim Jung-hyun moved to the area where Seo Ji-hye lives, and that the two have been spotted on home dates several times.
It's common for co-stars to develop feelings for each other on the set while working together on a project, and that was reportedly the case for these CLOY stars.
However, Seo Ji-hye's agency, Culture Depot, denied that they're dating, saying, "Kim Jung Hyun will be a free agent soon. He spoke with Seo Ji Hye about the matter of transferring agencies. Due to COVID-19, they met at home to discuss." Furthermore, her agency said that they're "bewildered" by the news, because they have checked this rumor with Seo Ji-hye herself, "and she said that she is definitely not dating Kim Jung Hyun."
Kim Jung-hyun's agency, O& Entertainment, also denied the dating rumors, saying, "As far as we know, Kim Jung Hyun and Seo Ji Hye are not dating. They are only maintaining a close relationship as senior and junior after working together in tvN’s Crash Landing on You."
Aside from CLOY, the rumored couple also got to appear in two other K-dramas; Kim Jung-hyun had minor appearances in Jealousy Incarnate (Don't Dare to Dream) and Dinner Mate that starred Seo Ji-hye.
In January 1 this year, Dispatch also reported that Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin are dating, and it turned out to be true, as confirmed by both of their agencies.
Could Seo Ji-hye and Kim Jung-hyun finally get their happy ending? (If you've seen CLOY, you know how heartbreaking the fate of their characters' relationship there was!) Only time will tell—we're still shipping Seo Dan and Gu Seung-jun anyway!
