Award-winning Actress, Celebrity, And Influencer Jasmine Curtis-Smith Graces The Cover Of Metro Society’s Luxury Issue

What is luxury to you? Luxury has been defined and redefined many times but what rings true always is that luxury is living your best life—the capability of being able to do what you want and live how you want. Investing, not spending, in the best of what is out there—the best memories, the best experiences, the best fashions, the best version of you.

On the cover of the Luxury issue of Metro Society is the young, fun, and free Jasmine Curtis-Smith, appearing in her first ever cover with the magazine. All decked out in the latest looks from Gucci and Cartier, Jasmine’s youthful, vivacious spirit was evident in every single photo through the eyes and lens of celebrity photographer Mark Nicdao. In the cover story, Jasmine gets candid about what being in the entertainment industry means to her, as she shares how often opting for the roads and roles less taken has proven to do her, and her rising career, a whole lot of good. She shares how her taste of the indie film scene was what she needed to keep pushing and keep pursuing her dreams in the industry. In particular, director Hannah Espia’s Transit (2013), an indie-drama film that follows a story of a single father who is forced to hide his children from immigration police in Israel. For the film, she shared how she underwent accent training on top of learning how to speak Hebrew, flew to Israel for a 10-day shoot, and had the privilege to act with some of the biggest names in the indie film industry. “I’m thankful that it was this project with those actors. Ping Medina, Mercedes Cabral, Irma Adlawan… they’re big names in the indie scene! I was like, if I don’t pick up my game here, kelan pa? It was in this film that I formed my admiration for Miss Irma. Being able to talk to Miss Irma really shed light on my career, and my approach to acting na talagang inaral ko na siya, rather than just okay, memorize then deliver. Actors like Miss Irma and Sir Nonie Buencamino, these are fantastic actors. They’re not your main stars, but they always have work, no matter which network. I want to have that longevity in my career, more than the stardom and fame.” While undeniably under the radar, at least compared to others in the industry, Jasmine is determined more than ever to strike it out in her field but definitely in her own terms. Find out how this young actress has truly grown into her own—in her career, her sense of style, and her very self.
