BTS' "Golden Maknae" turns 24 tomorrow, September 1, and the birthday celebrations for him are in full swing! Adored by many, Jungkook’s birthday is the perfect opportunity for ARMYs to give back and show their love for him–from donating to different charity organizations, organizing billboard displays all around the world to even adopting sea turtles.
If you are new to K-Pop, you might be surprised by the number of birthday projects that ARMY had prepared. Every year, different fanbases from all around the world hold events to celebrate the birthdays of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook. BTS’ message of self-love and kindness toward others resonates–ARMYs have created a community that makes positive impacts by participating in various causes close to the boys’ hearts.

1. His voice and stage presence
Jungkook is great at singing; he is BTS’ main vocalist, after all. Whether he’s singing one of their original songs or covering someone else’s, live or acapella, Jungkook can absolutely kill it! Jungkook’s stage presence is also incredible. If you get the chance to watch even just one BTS performance, you’ll know what we’re talking about–Jungkook will leave you breathless with his ability to own the stage. Whenever he’s on stage, he goes all out, making sure to give the best possible performance each and every time.
2. His dedication and passion
Even though Jungkook is gifted with a lot of talents, it can’t be denied that he’s worked so hard to get where he is now. Just like the other members of BTS, Jungkook is passionate about music. In his recent appearance on the variety show "You Quiz on the Block," Jungkook talked about how he continues to practice his skill every chance he gets. He said, “After I debuted, I was the main vocal. The main vocals of other groups, they were great singers. They were great dancers, handsome and cool. What am I? Can I be the main vocal of this team? I had to show improvements and accomplishments. I thought that the only person who could act and make a change was myself. From that moment, I deleted the idea of a vocal training hour in my head. In the car, in the shower… Of the 24 hours in a day, I tried to sing and was singing during every possible minute.” There is no doubt that Jungkook is so hardworking!
3. His many talents
Jungkook is called the golden maknae for a reason. Aside from singing and dancing, it's worth mentioning that Jungkook is talented in other areas, too. May it be sports, games, art or videography (just watch the "Life Goes On" official music video and his GCF videos on BangtanTV to see for yourself), he’s good at absolutely everything!
4. His love for his hyungs
Jungkook is the youngest member in the group, and he never fails to show his love for his hyungs. After living with each other for many years–going through every hardship and celebrating every win together–BTS’ bond goes beyond just having a good group dynamic. They’re a FAMILY. So whenever his older brothers need a helping hand, Jungkook is always readily available to help his hyungs.
5. His silly and sensitive sides
Jungkook is actually as silly as he’s skilled. His endless silliness is just one of the many things that make him more attractive to fans from all over the world. May it be stuffing food in his mouth, doing some ridiculous dance moves and skits on their variety show “Run! BTS,” or making his hyungs laugh, he is sure to put a smile on your face. But aside from his silly side, Jungkook also has a sensitive side. He is the golden maknae with a golden heart. When his feelings overwhelm him, he is not afraid to show how he feels. For example, during the 2020 Winter Package, Jungkook wrote a letter to ARMYs, thanking them for all their love and support. While reading the letter out loud, he couldn't help but get emotional. He ended his sincere letter with “ARMYs have to be happy no matter what, okay?” Sweet!
6. His duality
Jungkook’s duality is undeniable. He can go from cute and adorable to HOT and sexy real quick! With his scrunchy nose and crinkled eyes, Jungkook will be doing his signature bunny smile one second then instantly transform, especially when performing (let’s not forget about the “Fake Love” choreography)!
7. His love for ARMY
Jungkook never fails to express his love for ARMYs, and he always takes every opportunity to thank them for supporting BTS. Whether it’s expressing his gratitude and love during interviews, concerts and V Lives or posting on Twitter and Weverse, our Kookie is full of ARMY love! Borahae.
Indeed, it’s easy to fall in love with the golden maknae, with his effortless charm and extraordinary talent.
