BTS' Jin and Why He Deserves the Moon

Jin has “the world’s most perfect male face.”

And there's a scientific measurement to prove that! Dutch Scientific Analysis aimed to find the most perfect face in the world, and to determine that, they measured some of the world's most famous faces from 43 countries. They found that Jin's face is the closest to being perfect, because first and foremost, it is "symmetrical and perfectly oval."

But “Worldwide Handsome” is more than just a pretty face.

Yes, he is a great performer, too. But one more thing we appreciate about him is that he makes everyone love him and laugh with him with his playfulness, cheesy lines, and his never-ending dad jokes. Just recently at the "Permission to Dance Concert" in the US, he showed up wearing pigtails and posed like the doll in "Squid Game!" (See next photo)

Jin loves food.

He used to have a show called "Eat Jin" where you can watch him enjoy hearty meals and talk about each of them. One of his best pieces of advice to viewers: add ramen seasoning for a flavor upgrade! Through the years, Jin has evolved from being BTS’ food talk show host to one of BTS’ best chefs. You can count on Seokjinnie to make you a good meal.

He’s funny, but Jin also has a serious side.

One of the ways he expresses this best is by creating beautiful songs. Last year, he surprised ARMYs on his birthday with a song called “Abyss;” it was accompanied by a deep and touching letter, where he talked about feeling burnt out and not good enough in spite of BTS being on top of the charts. Jin and the rest of BTS are loved and adored by ARMYs more because of how they do not shy away from showing their vulnerable side.

Jin is the youngest in his family but...

...he suddenly became the big brother to six boys. He is looked upon with respect and much love by the younger members of BTS. He loves goofing around with them and teases them endlessly. You will always hear him say, “Hyung will do it” when he notices the other members are struggling with something. Some say that he is the glue that binds them all together.

He’s happy when others are happy.

He once said “I make myself smile by making other people smile.” He is not afraid to embarrass himself in front of millions if that's what it will take to make people around him smile or laugh. The song "Moon," which he co-wrote, says this so brilliantly. For Jin, he is the moon that orbits around the earth, the ARMYs. Shining light on the darkest hours. Hiding his own pain behind the bright light. He sings, "I will orbit you. I will stay by your side. I will become your light. All for you..."

Though the moon belongs to everyone including Kim Seokjin as NASA said, for ARMYs around the world, the moon should be just Jin’s.
