Buy Bust's national screening that began on August 1 is the latest event its cast and director have enjoyed after gracing the red carpets in New York for the 2018 Asian Film Festival, Seoul for the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival, and in Manila for the film's Philippine premiere night held last month.
As a first for Anne—an actress and all-around performer best known for being adorably goofy onstage—the film was an expansion of her talent and a deliberate departure from the sweeter than sweet image she's cultivated over the years. With this successful honing of her onscreen capabilities in this gem of a feature, Anne has won over international and local critics alike, while her loyal fans and fellow actors have been just as generous with their words of support and praise.
