Baby On The Way! Coleen Garcia Announces She's Pregnant!
The biggest surprise? She's been expecting for five months!
It's looking like May 2020 is officially going to be Coleen Garcia's first-ever Mother's Day celebration. And it's for no other reason besides the fact that she's going to be a mom herself in a few months' time!
We're definitely just as surprised as you are! Coleen, along with her husband of two years Billy Crawford, managed to keep the huge news secret for almost half a year. She revealed that they'd discovered they were expecting earlier this year, and that she'd actually conceived in December.
She made the announcement on Instagram a few days ago, writing, "It’s been over 5 months now. And just like that, we’re more than halfway through! We found out earlier this year, but I’ve been pregnant since Dec 2019, and it’s been quite a ride since then!"
The caption accompanied a photo that showed us her growing belly and a sonogram for the first time. (Also, did you notice how Coleen still has killer abs even as she's entering her third trimester?)
Judging from Billy's expression, he's just as excited to be a dad as Coleen is about her upcoming motherhood.
He posted another series of photos as a tribute to his wife and took the time to express his gratefulness over the news.
"I can’t even express the joy of this day! I’ve been waiting to scream it out to the world. Yes! My gorgeous wife and I are having a baby!!!!! Been praying to God for this, and for years, the answer was “not yet”. Fast forward to today, and God has blessed us in His perfect timing. And thank you #myeverything @coleen for bearing with me cause everyone knows I’m the actual pregnant one!" he wrote. (Keeping his sense of humor, Billy also joked about how their first child wasn't an "ECQ baby" considering how far along they are in the pregnancy).
They've since released a new episode on their official YouTube channel, documenting their live announcement and their friends' reactions to the news.
They may have been together as husband and wife for just two years, but their relationship has been much longer that!
Billy and Coleen were It's Showtime! co-hosts in 2011 (nine years ago!), but only really started getting to know each other and deepening their friendship two years after in 2013.
Rumors about the pair's budding romance began to circulate in Christmas that year and reached an all-time high when the public discovered that they had gone to the US on a holiday together. In the first half of 2014, Billy had become more open about his feelings for Coleen, even saying that he'd love for her to be his girlfriend soon on a talk show.
In July of that year, they finally made things official and have been a pretty solid celeb couple ever since! They'd traveled to many destinations over the years both here and abroad, sharing that exploring new and unfamiliar places has proven to be one of the best ways for them to get to know each other.
By December 2016, a few months after their third anniversary, Billy proposed to Coleen with many of their loved ones as witnesses. Making it even sweeter was the fact that Billy admitted that he had bought her a ring more than a year and a half before he proposed as he was sure about settling down with Coleen since the very beginning of their relationship.
It took them about a year to plan for their pre-wedding activities and summer ceremony held in 2018, a truly beautiful way to start the next chapter of their lives as Mr. and Mrs.
And now, they're onto the next milestone: becoming parents!
We can't wait for what's in store for these two as they start this new journey!
