Look! This Fan Club Put Up A Billboard In EDSA To Celebrate CLOY's First Anniversary
The impact of "Crash Landing on You" has truly been phenomenal
Outstanding K-drama Crash Landing on You marked its first anniversary last December 14, and huge fans of the series had their own ways of celebrating its success.
For Simply Yejin Philippines fan club, the members' way of expressing their unending love and support for Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin was to put up a billboard along EDSA, specifically at Paragon Plaza in Mandaluyong City. The idea to do this actually came from one member of the fan club, an overseas Filipino worker in the Middle East who has been an avid fan of the top Hallyu actress for so many years now.
As if that wasn't great enough, Simply Yejin Philippines also donated P25,000 to UNICEF Philippines on behalf of the actress, to help with typhoon and COVID-19 relief efforts. A representative from the fan club shares, "This was originally part of our Son Ye-jin's birthday project, but because of the recent events that Philippines had encountered we wanted to take the opportunity to help. It is also our greatest happiness to be able to help in our own small way and bring smiles to the disadvantaged children during these difficult times."
Happy first anniversary to Crash Landing on You, which undoubtedly served as the gateway K-drama for many Filipinos and one of the series that kept people company during the quarantine.
