DonBelle to Star in Rom-Com Series "How to Spot a Red Flag"

Missing DonBelle? Great news: The phenomenal love team of Donny Pangilinan and Belle Mariano will be back via the new series How to Spot a Red Flag, a Dreamscape Entertainment and Viu collaboration.

The first local original series of streaming platform Viu in partnership with ABS-CBN, DonBelle's How to Spot a Red Flag is described as a light comedy drama. 

In an interview with entertainment correspondent Gretchen Fullido, Donny shared that they wanted something different and lighter as compared to their previous series, Can't Buy Me Love, which concluded last May.

He said that they requested for their new series to have a "lighter flavor." "'Yung rom-com na nami-miss natin. 'Yung parang mapapanood mo tapos mapapa-smile ka," Donny teased. 

Belle added, "We realized that ang daming matututunan sa series na ito kasi it's very relevant, most especially for Gen Zs."

When asked by Gretchen about the ultimate red flag or deal breakers for them, Donny said it's when someone lies and isn't trustworthy. On the other hand, Belle said that she sees a red flag "when they don't take care of themselves 'cause it's all rooted to loving yourself in order for you to love someone, 'di ba?"

Donny and Belle graced their series' story conference alongside co-stars Jameson Blake, Angel Aquino, Mylene Dizon, Benjie Paras, and Christian Vasquez. How to Spot a Red Flag is directed by Dwein Baltazar. It will be streamed exclusively on Viu.
