ENHYPEN and Filipino ENGENEs' first fun meet was nothing short of enjoyable. The most awaited moment finally came and it was a delight to witness the adorable interactions between the two-year-old septet from South Korea (with members Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon, and Ni-ki) and their equally energetic Pinoy fans.

Filled with laughter, friendly banters (despite the language barrier), and heartfelt messages for each other, ENHYPEN’s successful fun meet—in celebration of beauty, cosmetics, and personal care brand BYS’ 10th anniversary—is definitely a sneak peek of grander things to come. The event was held on December 3 in the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Two years into their debut, ENHYPEN—whose name means “to connect, discover, and grow together”— has definitely made an indelible mark on the hearts of the Filipinos as evidenced by the recently-concluded fun meet event.

It was a roaring rendezvous indeed as P-Pop groups VXON and G22, and Asia’s Pop Heartthrob Darren Espanto warmed up the stage. Pre-selected ENGENEs were also treated to games and BYS prizes as the waited for the fast-rising 4th generation K-pop group.It was a night to remember, most especially to their growing fanbase in the Philippines.

Apart from the boys singing a few lines from their song “Polaroid Love” and dancing to “ParadoXXX Invasion,” the ENGENEs got to know more about their favorite group through a series of cute Q&A, lead by host, Sam Oh. They also gamely played with their fans through charades and seven lucky ENGENEs had the chance to teach each member Filipino words and phrases, much to everyone’s delight!

“I feel very sorry that I did not notice Filipino fans’ love until this moment that I’ve watched the video,” expressed the ever-grateful Sunghoon, one of the two birthday boys (one was Ni-Ki) during that time. “Thank you so much for the video that you have prepared for us. I believe we can get energized with your cheers and do much better moving forward. Thank you so much. Mahal kita!”
