Everything You Need To Know About Victoria's Secret Model Chanel Iman's Glowing Rose Gold Wedding
The angel has found her prince, her knight, her king.
Fashion model Chanel Iman married football superstar Sterling Shepard in an elegant rose gold-themed wedding at the Beverly Hills Hotel on March 3, inviting only a handful of celebrity friends and family to share the occasion with them.
The A-list couple, who met in 2016 at a mutual friend's party, pulled together the picture-perfect ceremony in a little less than 12 weeks, proving that even the grandest celebrations need not take months to prepare for—when you're in a relationship that's as nurturing and genuine as Chanel and Sterling's, what matters most is the love you share on this special day.
Check out all the details of Chanel's dreamy wedding:
Like other blushing brides wishing to look and feel their most beautiful on their wedding day, Chanel wore two dresses: one for the ceremony, another for the reception. Both dresses were by Lebanese fashion designer Zuhair Murad from his 2018 Fall Bridal collection. Chanel has worn the designer’s pieces to numerous red carpets events and on the runway in the past.
Celebrity stylists Monica Rose and Anita Patrickson are credited for Chanel and her bridesmaid’s stunning looks. Her entourage was dressed in matching white dresses with thigh-high slits by Watters and nude heels by Aldo. On the other hand, Ashley Holm did Chanel’s bridal makeup, Amy & Stuart captured the night’s best moments in photos, Wayne Linsey from the Rickey Minor Band entertained guests with violins and horns, and event stylist Mindy Weiss was on top of turning her wedding into the beautiful sight that it was.
The dress she wore to her wedding features a deep neckline, lots of floral appliques, and a long, embellished bolero. Chanel said that the dress’ vintage feel and uniqueness were what drew her to it.
Chanel’s main requirement for her reception dress was that it be comfortable enough to let her dance. The result was a feminine V-neck tulle dress with a white petal overlay; the girly look was accessorized with a small blush bow that emphasized Chanel’s svelte figure, and featured a hemline just long enough to let her feet peek through.
Sterling, on the other hand, watched his bride walk down the aisle towards him in a classic black tux. For the reception, and taking the cue from his wife who wanted to make a fashion statement, he changed in a cream jacket as an unconventional but still very flattering style pick. Both outfits were from Hugo Boss.
The guest list included the bride’s famous friends like Chrissy Teigen, Gabrielle Union, Jourdan Dunn, Shanina Shaik, Joan Smalls, Damaris Lewis, John Legend, and Tiffany Haddish, while her dashing husband was surrounded by fellow athletes and pals Tavarres King, Roger Lewis Jr., Travis Rudolph, Donte Deayon, Brad Win, and Odell Beckham, Jr.
The Beverly Hills Hotel grand ballroom saw the newly-married couple celebrate the special day. They occupied the hotel’s garden as well, decking out the whole place with giant roses in white and blush, and incorporating satin drapes, fairy light canopies, and candles to add a little more drama to the venue.
Chanel and Sterling got married after about 13 months of dating, three of which they spent as an engaged couple.
The couple is in the process of planning their honeymoon. They’re not in a hurry to get anything done, and just like their wedding, they’re simply enjoying every step of the way.
