EXO's Chanyeol Visits Philippines As The First Ever Male Ambassador Of A Filipino Beauty Brand

When EXO Chanyeol was asked if he has ever thought of staying in the Philippines for good, with a charming smile and attractive deep voice, he readily replied in English: “Every day.”

Chanyeol recently flew to the Philippines for a “Fun Meet in Manila” and to be formally introduced as Filipino brand Ever Bilena’s first ever male beauty brand endorser. Before the actual fan meeting with his loyal followers, he was warmly welcomed to the country by Ever Bilena Chief Sales and Marketing Officer Denice Sy and Chief Operating Officer Silliman Sy, members of Philippine media and some lucky fans at the press conference hosted by beauty queen and TV personality Samantha Bernardo.

“I’m enjoying my stay here in Manila so far. It is also my first experience to be an ambassador of a cosmetics line so I think for both of us, it’s a very good experience,” Chanyeol says. Before accepting the partnership with the beauty brand, the K-pop star had initial considerations to think of but he’s very happy with the result.

“First of all, as mentioned, it’s my first time to be a male ambassador [as a] solo so I’m very excited. The major thing I was worried about was the collaboration between my face and Ever Bilena. But when we were doing the shooting, it was really nice and fun and I think my face fits Ever Bilena products,” he explains. The worries wore off and was replaced with excitement when he finally landed in the Philippines for his engagements.

“The first things is, when I came here and I was traveling around Manila, I saw my face [in a] super huge ad (billboard) post. I was very amazed that my face was really exposed and publicized here in the Philippines in a very big size. I am very, very grateful that through Ever Bilena, we’re having this press conference and these kinds of events and of course, moving forward, we would also have different collaborations and partnerships in the future so I’m very excited about that too,” Chanyeol giddily shares to fans and the media alike.

As a male beauty brand ambassador, he was asked what beauty is for him.

“I think I find something beautiful or beauty for me means the original color of a person,” he says, referring to the natural, raw and innate beauty exuded by someone. He also explained the meaning behind #ForEveryBeauty that the brand he’s endorsing is known for.

“I think that #ForEveryBeauty means that beauty is for everyone. We are all capable of creating beauty within ourselves and with the help of Ever Bilena, there are beauty products for each one of us,” he adds.

Among the Ever Bilena products he favors are the Ever Bilena skin foundation and the Ever Bilena Serum Tinted Lip Balm.

“I consider the most important thing in makeup in our cosmetics line is the basic foundation, the baseline. So I love that it has skincare benefits too with Vitamin E which is good for moisturizing the skin,” Chanyeol says of the skin foundation.

He also shares what he likes about the lip balm.

“It has skincare benefits too so this really makes my lips look healthy and well-moisturized. It feels so lightweight on my lips and the sheer color looks good,” he continues as the fandom shrieks on the subject of his lips.

Since he’s in the country and spending quality time with his fans, Chanyeol was asked about his ideal date with a fan and it’s something he appeared to really have thought about. The Taglish translation brought an extra layer of kilig to the ones present in the audience who love Chanyeol so much.

“The first idea that came into my mind is to go to an island na walang tao, kami lang and while we’re there… since walang masyadong tao, it’s going to be very chill, very free and we would go to the beach, we would go swim at sea and we would enjoy the food. I think that’s my most ideal date with a fan that I have in mind right now,” Chanyeol concludes to the delight of the audience.
