Francine Diaz attended the first-ever Asia Star Entertainer Awards (ASEA) at the Yokohama Arena in Japan as a presenter. The event was held on April 10.

The Filipino actress/singer announced the winner for ASEA Global K-Pop Leader, Big Hit Music’s South Korean boy band TXT (Tomorrow x Together).

Before she went onstage for the announcement of the winner, Francine was introduced by Girls’ Generation’s Kwon Yuri and 2PM’s Taecyeon. As she made her way to the stage, looking sophisticated in a white asymmetrical form-fitting dress, a voice-over introduction described her as “the actor who is the most influential in the Philippines.”

Her moment onstage began with her adjusting the mic, giggling, “This is so tall.” She continued, greeting everyone and expressing her hopes of collaborating with more Asian artists.

Francine said, “Good evening, everyone. I am Francine Diaz. I am an actress from the Philippines. For starters, it’s an honor to be invited to global awards where music becomes one. Actually, I am interested in various fields. So, I am an actress, a model, a vlogger, and a singer. Honestly speaking, I am falling in love with music too. I recently sang a duet song called ‘My Love’ with Korean top star Seo In Guk. It’s a really special experience to me. So, while watching these amazing musicians’ performances, I can’t help but dream to collaborate with them in the future. As much as winning the hearts of fans all over the world, the power of Asian musicians is truly incredible.”

When it was time to announce the winner, Francine adorably made a mistake in pronouncing the name of TXT (Tomorrow x Together), and read it like a part of a multiplication sentence: “Tomorrow Times Together.” The group’s name is read as “Tomorrow by Together.”

This made her appearance at the Asia Star Entertainer Awards 2024 even more trending online; “Tomorrow Times Together” was also among the top trending topics on X (formerly Twitter) in the Philippines. Many netizens didn’t seem to make a big deal out of it, with one commenting on Tiktok, “TOMORROW TIMES TOGETHER equals Multiply the Awards and Fans💙💙.” One netizen also wrote, "yan tuloy dahil sa times mo Francine nag multiply yung award ng tomorrow x together haha 😂😂"

TXT also won the following awards at the ASEA 2024: Artist of the Year, The Platinum Award, and Best Performance (Group).

But fans of Francine did ask MOAs (TXT’s fandom) for understanding as it was her first time presenting an award. We can just imagine how nerve-racking that experience must have been too!

At the red carpet event held before the awarding ceremony, Francine turned heads in a ravishing red dress by Filipino designer Anthony Ramirez. Her elegant look was put together by fashion stylists Kim and Boop Yap, makeup artist RB Chanco, and hairstylist Justine Ocampo.

Also with Francine during this trip were her managers, John Ling and Star Magic's Nenette Rustia, as well as talent agent Lee Gunae.

At the event, Francine also had the opportunity to meet the members of the South Korean boy band Fantasy Boys and Girls’ Generation’s Kwon Yuri whom she had a stunning twinning moment with.
