Their collective fan bases speculated over the possibility of a budding romance between them in 2016, some time after Angel's split from TV host Luis Manzano, and when Neil likewise confirmed his break-up with actress Bella Padilla.

The two had always been close, having been friends for eight years, and only came out as a "mutually exclusive" couple almost a year later to an audience of members of the press. Clearly trusting the process, Angel and Neil seem to be taking it easy, enjoying their time together and getting to know each other on a much more intimate level.

During this time, the couple was happy to simply be feeling the same for each other, not really bothering to call each other one's boyfriend or girlfriend. Labels weren't important, but their crystal-clear commitment to each other was. She did, however, admit to exchanging "I love you's," much to the delight of their followers and friends.

A few months after, the inseparable pair found themselves cozying up together at Anne Curtis and Erwan Heussaff's New Zealand wedding. A happy photo of the two from the magical event served as the canvas for a rather sweet post dedicated to Neil that Angel published on her Instagram for New Year's day: "Falling in love with you was the best part of my 2017. Excited to share my 2018 with you."

Neil came up with an equally touching response via a post on his own Instagram account: "My 2017...2018..2019...  and sabi nga niya pag galingan ko... my forever... Don’t worry gagalingan ko!!! I Love you. (My 2017 ...2018..2019... and as she said if I do well... there's forever... Don't worry, I'll try my best!!! I Love you)."

Boyfriend and girlfriend, dating couple, or husband and wife-to-be (fingers crossed!), no matter what title Angel and Neil go by, one thing is for sure: their futures are intertwined, and what binds them together is love, love, and even more love.
