We're Absolutely In Love With How Marga Bermudez Proposed to Gabs Gibbs

It’s a yes! Artist Gabs Gibbs posted engagement photos of her and her partner Marga Bermudez (aka Marga on the Mic) last August 16. Both have etched their places in the creative and entertainment industry, with Gabs cementing herself as a photographer/creative director/singer and Marga as a DJ and entertainment director. The couple has also made a name for themselves as a stylish duo with their matching ensembles. 

Gabs captioned her engagement announcement post with “Prepare for the gayest wedding you will ever witness.” To which, her sister, Chi Gibbs, commented, “@antoncruz is already planning your wedding as we speak. HAHAHHAHA love u both @gabsgibbs @margaonthemic 💕 ” Anton is Chi’s husband. 

Chi channeled her content creator persona and made sure to document the “beautiful snowy mountain engagement” of Gabs and Marga. 

During their vacation-turned-engagement, Gabs donned a hot pink ski suit and Marga was in dark blue and black. Meanwhile, the cold, Australian mountains of Thredbo, where they got engaged, were a stark contrast to the warmth that the couple exuded. 

It’s also easy to see in Gabs’ post how she has the full support of her celebrity parents, Janno Gibbs and Bing Loyzaga. The proud parents each expressed their own joyous sentiments through their social media. Bing congratulated her “darling” daughter while also declaring Marga her “new darling” in a heartwarming Instagram post. 

“More than thrilled,” said Janno of the news in a carousel of shots from the happy occasion, which featured Gabs showing her dazzling ring while using the hashtag #LoveIsLove. Janno also shared a family photo where they gathered around the happy couple.  

Many netizens have chimed in with their own congratulatory messages for the newly-engaged couple. Celeb friends like Nadine Lustre, Maureen Wroblewitz, Camille Co, Dominique Cojuangco, Denise Laurel, Nicole Andersson, Kaila Estrada, Leila Alcasid, Georgina Wilson, Laureen Uy, Liz Uy, Tim Yap, Kiana Valenciano, and Mond Gutierrez also commented on Gabs’ post, while both Gabs and Marga shared their own sweet replies to potential wedding guests. 

“We need (your) dance moves at the function,” says Gabs in reply to Liz Uy. 

“(Don’t you) dare miss it!” replies Marga to Nadine Lustre’s well wishes. 

Although there’s no set wedding date yet, we’re sure it will be one of the “artsy-est” weddings ever, as described by their fellow artist Issa Pressman.
