Performing Arts Theater in Resorts World last March 5. It’s <strong>ABS-CBN Events</strong>’ first on-ground concert in two years, and this successful event is just the start of <strong>Gigi De Lana and The Gigi Vibes</strong>’ exciting concert tour, which will have a Middle East leg. </p><div><br/></div><p>To say that this concert tour is a dream come true for Gigi, who’s dubbed as a “new gen pop rock diva,” is truly an understatement. She’s been singing since she was a kid, and holding a concert has always been part of her goals. And <em>sa dami ng pagsubok na dinaanan namin</em>, finally, <em>ito na</em>,” Gigi tells <strong>Metro.Style</strong>. “And <em>maraming salamat din kay</em> Lord <em>kasi nu’ng</em> times <em>na dun kami sa pagsubok ’di kami pinabayaan</em>. And <em>’yung banda ko</em>, <em>’yung</em> Gigi Vibes, <em>’yung</em> family <em>ko na ’yan</em>, <em>hinding-hindi nila ako iniwan kahit nu’ng walang-wala ako</em>. And <em>ngayon meron na kami</em>, <em>hindi pa rin nila ako iniwan</em>.”</p><div><br/></div><p>“Domination,” the title of the concert, is indeed a “very strong word,” Gigi says. But it was apt, as it perfectly encapsulates what they want to achieve next, with this momentous concert marking the next chapter of their partnership and friendship. “Finally, <em>ito na ’yun</em>! We will dominate the whole world,” she muses. Online viewers can still purchase tickets on <a href="https://www.ktx.ph/events/38418/domination-a-gigi-de-lana-and-the-gigi-vibes-concert" target="_blank">KTX</a> at P695 (SVIP), P495 (VIP), and P195 (regular).</p><div><br/></div><p>Gigi was a breakthrough star during the pandemic, and it won’t be surprising if this concert tour will have more follow-up shows abroad soon, now that quarantine rules and restrictions have eased up. She became popular for her viral <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7sm6lY4u_k" target="_blank">“Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita”</a> challenge, and has since released a self-titled debut album featuring the hit single <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PWLlDLH-N0Q" target="_blank">“Sakalam.”</a> She also debuted as an actress, starring in the ABS-CBN x iQiyi series <em><a href="https://metro.style/people/celebrities/gigi-de-lana-gigi-vibes-hello-heart/32050" target="_blank">Hello, Heart</a></em> with Gerald Anderson.
