Once known as the wife of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, the 45-year-old beauty is now excitedly engaged to Brad Falchuk, a successful American director, producer, and writer. The husband-to-be has worked on TV hits like American Horror Story, Scream Queens, Nip/Tuck, and Glee, the last of which was where the couple reportedly met.

If you're surprised about the engagement, so are we! Gwyneth and Brad admitted to keeping their love low-key, successfully surprising most of their followers when they went public. After a 10-year marriage to Chris, followed by a highly publicized divorce, the Oscar-winning actress has gained a new appreciation for keeping her personal life under the radar—that is, up until they confirmed their "conscious coupling" to the world in April 2015 during Robert Downey Jr.'s 50th birthday party. The announcement came a little less than a year before Gwyneth made her split from Chris official in July 2016.

And so, after more than three years together, the Hollywood stars have gotten engaged, and we couldn't be happier for them.

In a joint statement shared with Good Morning America, Gwyneth and Brad announced the exciting news, saying, "We feel incredibly lucky to have come together at this juncture in our lives when our collective successes and failures can serve as building blocks for a healthy and happy relationship."

The announcement's timing coincides with the release of the second issue of Goop magazine, the print publication of Gwyneth's multi-faceted lifestyle brand. She and Brad are on the black and white cover, with him giving her a tight embrace and she looking like she couldn't be more satisfied with her life, so far. She says Brad has taught her the values of communication and intimacy above all, things she had never before prioritized in her adult relationships.

“Personally, at midlife, I have tried to accept how complex romantic love can be," Gwyneth, who Brad has called "the most beautiful women of all time," writes in the issue.

"I have decided to give it a go again, not only because I believe I have found the man I was meant to be with, but because I have accepted the soul-stretching, pattern-breaking opportunities that (terrifyingly) are made possible by intimacy," she says.

Worry not if you've been wondering if this has caused Chris heartache. The British musician has not only met Brad, but has had brunch with him! The moment was caught on camera by Gwyneth herself, captioning the photo with #Modernfamily.

Adult relationships can be pretty complex to maneuver, but leave it to modern woman Gwyneth Paltrow to set the example for how we can manage them with ease, and grace.
