Lee Byung-hun and Lee Min-jung
Theirs remains to be one of the biggest weddings South Korea has ever seen, at least for celebrities. Their August 10, 2013 ceremony was nothing but glamorous, and the couple even attended a press con before the ceremony! Media outlets covered arrivals, the ceremony, and the after-party. Lee Byung-hun and Lee Min-jung definitely set the gold standard for what it means to throw a star-studded wedding. They have a 5-year-old son.

Won Bin and Lee Na-young
It took Won Bin and Lee Na-young three years to become Mr. and Mrs., and when they did, they did so simply. They had a rather simple ceremony by Korean celeb standards, with Won Bin opting for low-key wedding held in his hometown of Jeongseon in Gangwon Province in 2015. Only 50 guests were in attendance, and all were reportedly his and Lee Na-young's family. The couple has a 4-year-old son.

Taeyang and Min Hyo-rin
Fans of this couple were right to expect that their wedding would be epic and full of energy! Given Big Bang member Taeyang's background as a singer and dancer, there was no way he could have let his wedding pass without performances from friends and guests. It was really more like a mini concert considering all the dancing and singing that went down! Despite the February 2018 wedding being a private event, photos and videos shared showed that there wasn't a dull moment during the special day. They started dating in 2013.

Yeon Jung-hoon and Han Ga-in
Yeon Jung-hoon and Han Ga-in were 26 and 23 years old when they got married, typically younger than most Korean stars who tie the knot later in life. Despite starting married life early, this couple has proven that age holds little bearing in the strength of a relationship. They enjoyed a luxurious springtime wedding in April 2005 after meeting two years prior, and welcomed a mix of celebrity friends and family on their big day. They now have two kids: a four-year-old daughter and a one-year-old son.

Ryu Soo-young and Park Ha-sun
The pretty Mayfield Hotel in Seoul served as the backdrop of their January 2017 wedding. This couple, despite the fame attached to their names, opted for a low-key ceremony with little media coverage broadcasting the day's most special moments. They were together since 2014 and, you guessed it, were co-stars who fell in love! Their daughter is about to turn three years old this August.

Lee Sang-woo and Kim So-yeon
Not everyone wants their wedding publicized to the world, including a select number of top-billed stars. Take couple Lee Sang-woo and Kim So-yeon who got married in June 2017 at a family-only event. Still acknowledging industry friends, fans, and well-wishers, the couple sent out a public message of thanks to everyone who were supportive of them on their wedding day. Kwon Sang-woo and Son Tae-young got married in 2008 and now have a son and a daughter. And while their married and family life is rosy these days, the pair didn't get to exchange vows free of controversy. Kwon Sang-woo's fans were not always in favor of his romance with Miss Korea-turned-actress Son Tae-young, but after some time, they learned to accept their relationship.

Yoo Ji-tae and Kim Hyo-jin
It's advice we often hear from happily married couples: make friendship the foundation of your relationship—and that's exactly how these two started! Yoo Ji-tae and Kim Hyo-jin both started their careers as models and became friends who often hung out on set. They met in 2003, confirmed their relationship publicly in 2006, then got married in 2011. The most notable thing about their wedding had nothing to do with its aesthetics, but instead with the fact that they donated a portion of their monetary gifts to charity. They now have a six-year-old son.

On the other hand, many K-Drama fans were also devastated at the recent news of actors Ku Hye-sun and Ahn Jae-hyun's divorce. They, too, met on set in 2015's Blood and got married in 2016; he filed for divorce in September of last year.
Similarly, couples Song Hye-kyo and Song Joong-ki (Descendants of the Sun) as well as Lee Dong-gun and Jo Yoon-hee (The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop) both began their relationships on set and got married but had resorted to divorce.
