Kelly Misa-Fernandez

It’s been nearly two decades since Kelly Misa started exploring Southeast Asia doing modeling, and now, she has brought back her years of learnings and relationships to become a television host, blogger, breastfeeding advocate, and online influencer. Catch her on television, present in all the happenings around the metro, traveling, writing or shooting for her blog, and hanging out with her fellow Baby Barangay moms—all of these while maintaining quality and quantity time with her husband Carlos and baby boy Tristan.

Her secret to staying hip and on-the-go? Staying true to yourself. She tells Metro.style, “I think each mom has her own cool way of doing things, and doing things her way (and not comparing herself to other moms) is ultimately what makes her cool! So just do you, momma!”

Cat Arambulo-Antonio

For Cat, it’s about having that passion for everything she does. The former brand and public relations expert has now transitioned into a full-time writer, interior designer, judge for reality TV show The Apartment, businesswoman, and mom—and she’s loving and nailing every bit of it.

It’s truly an honor to be working with Jeremy Rowe of @akzonobel on and off the show, @theapartmenttv. ?? . I first discovered Dulux when we were filming for The Apartment in Malaysia & Singapore. I couldn’t believe that the orderless paint really had NO smell (other paint brand’s “odorless” paint still smells even AFTER a few days, paint was REALLY dry (Note: The challenges were anywhere between 12 hours to 24 hours.) and I was in awe of the textured finishes that our contestants created. . And I’m so happy to announce that UK’s Dulux paint will be available in the Philippines. More details, SOON! . In the meantime, catch us on The Apartment: . ?? THURSDAY on Sony @sonychannelph 9PM Sing/Mal/HKG/PH 8PM BKK/JKT . ?? Sony Channel Sky Cable - 35 Cignal - 120 Destiny Digital -35 Destiny Analog - 62 . ?? But all of those time spent on the glamorous side of life has not eaten Cat; instead, more than ever, she is grounded by it. In fact, her blog became famous online because of the relatability and authenticity of her content—something everyone needs a piece of in this age of social media.

Her advice is to always start with love and always start within yourself. Cat says, “The key: Don’t compare your life to someone else’s curated IG feed and highlight reel. Trust me, no one and nothing is as perfect as their IG feed may seem... or they pretend to be. Everyone struggles. We don’t exactly have to show it or post about it BUUUT the least we could do is be REAL!!!!”

Taking a break from all the sponsored posts to remind everyone that social media is only snippets of my “curated” life.. and everyone else’s too. Haha! . The key: Don’t compare your life to someone else’s curated IG feed and highlight reel. Trust me, no one and nothing is as perfect as their IG feed may seem... or they pretend to be. . To be honest, the rise of all the mental illness issues and suicide cases freaks the hell out of me. And as a parent, I’m scared shitless about the world our kids are growing up in. What do you guys think we can do to help our kids and others deal? . TRUTH: Everyone struggles.. we don’t exactly have to show it or post about it BUUUT the least we could do is be REAL!!!! ????I think in one way or another it will show others that we don’t live in a bubble or a bed of roses. Because in the real world, SH*T happens! . Disclaimer: Back to my sponsored posts tom. Gotta pay some bills! . #CarloAntonio apparently has been standing there for and the past 5 minutes. He took a video to show me how “engaged” I was with my phone and didn’t even notice he was there until he started talking to me.??

Victoria Beckham

One can only imagine how packed Victoria’s day is. As a fashion designer and businesswoman behind the Victoria Beckham brand, a fashion icon, singer, and model, it’s amazing how she still has time to just step away from all her responsibilities to spend some time with her man and her kids.

Victoria has just posted a photo with her husband David enjoying a low-key dinner date for their 19th anniversary. She even shared videos of David as they attended their daughter Harper’s school sports day! Staying hands-on with her family while being a lady boss is amazing.

But even Victoria has her own moments of weakness and self-doubt. But at the end of the day, it’s about getting over these moments of weakness and continuing to work for your dream. She says via the Skype Collaboration Project, “I think everybody has crazy moments of self-doubt, and I think an element of that is quite important… it's about creative visualisation and challenging yourself and always staying positive… Be passionate and be willing to work hard.”

Just hanging out in Paris ???? kisses x

Joanna Preysler-Francisco

It’s hard enough being the face of one brand; imagine starting and running six! Joanna has always been in love with fashion and this love has translated and bloomed into several retail and businesses that are now taking over the metro: Tint, Carbon, Eterno, the Joanna Preysler boutique, Provenance Art Gallery, and Othello.

Alongside her husband Raul Francisco, Joanna is beautifying the country one garment and one art piece at a time. And according to her, succeeding in translating your passion into a business may not be easy, but it’s perfectly doable. She shares during her interview for #MetroMostStylish2018 Best Dressed, “I think that the most important thing is the determination, the focus, and the planning… You’ll falter, you’ll make mistakes, but each mistake is a preparation for your next lesson. Each plan is a preparation for your next step. So it’s respecting the work that it takes.”

Amal Clooney

We can go on and on about what we love about Amal Clooney, but one of the best things about her is the fact that she is the quintessence of beauty and brains. Amal is a qualified lawyer in the US and the UK, manages to teach and publish journals during her spare time, adorns red carpet events in amazing fashion beside her husband George, and engages in many philanthropic endeavors with their very own Clooney Foundation for Justice.

Amal has made headlines recently for her amazing style and her efforts to fight for immigrant rights. The Clooney Foundation for Justice is donating $100,000 to the Young Center for Immigrant Children’s Rights to help migrant children who have been separated from their parents at the border.

For Amal, she’s doing all of these things to stand for what she believes in and echo her advocacies. She says during her recent speech at the Vanderbilt University in Nashville, "Be courageous. Challenge orthodoxy. Stand up for what you believe in. When you are in your rocking chair talking to your grandchildren many years for now, be sure you have a good story to tell.”

Angelina Jolie

Angelina has long transitioned from being just a Hollywood superstar. She has also become a mother, filmmaker, and humanitarian. In 2012, she became the Special Envoy for United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and has co-founded the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative.

Nowadays, when she is not starring in a blockbuster film or looking fabulous, she is moving from country to country to champion her advocacies and call for women empowerment.

During her keynote speech at The Hollywood Reporter’s Power 100 Women in Entertainment Breakfast in 2017, she says that women in the industry are fortunate to have the freedom to express themselves and engage in various art forms that they wish to do. And having this freedom comes with the responsibility to help other women have this same level of freedom, as well.

Angelina says, "Participating in art and culture is not a luxury for a privileged few in society. It is, in fact, a human right, laid down in the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Every woman has a right not only to independence and security, but to live her life to the full and to express herself to the full, including through art and ideas as well as politics. That right is often denied to women because it is so powerful… That is why I am so grateful to be part of this community and the wider community of artists around the world. Together we stand for more than our own rights and freedoms, but the freedom and rights of all women.”

Stephanie Kienle-Gonzalez

Busy is an understatement when one talks about Stephanie. She is always on the go, devoting most of her time to leading Philippine furniture manufacturer Philux, traveling and hanging out with her family, filming as the newest host of Metro Channel’s Metro Home, and volunteering for many causes like the WWF Philippines.

When life throws you a curve ball- what do you do? ?? While i never had ambitions to be on TV, i was recently given the opportunity to host a show on interiors. It all fell into place naturally - it was within my line of work , i already knew and loved my cohost, and believe it or not, my cousin was assigned to direct it - all of these positive signs were too good to be true, so i said - let’s try this out ! While i have been a bit over stretched balancing my full time work with Philux, motherhood and the show, it has been an exciting couple of months and I am so happy I went for the challenge. I have learned many new things about design, have met interesting people and have also a new found respect for this line of work which requires patience, team work, self confidence and a sharp eye for detail. . . I am very grateful for this new chapter and excited to share that our new show, Metro Home will be premiering tomorrow, June 6 at 10pm on Metro Channel ! While I ask you to forgive my fidgeting and stutters as I go through this learning curve, i hope you enjoy the content we have all worked hard to put together for your viewing. . . A big shout out to my cohost EIC and also first time TV host @antonbarretto, the whole @metrochannelph team and the production team including @sikwiddit for directing this season with such professionalism. Thank you and please do find the time to tune in ???? . . #stephkienleadventures #metrohome #metrochannel #comingsoon #newventure #metrochannelph #metrohometv makeup by #maccosmeticsph #interiordesign #homeanddesign #yolo #seizetheyear

A woman of style and sophisticated taste, Stephanie makes sure she is always surrounded by things that inspire her. On her recent cover shoot for Metro Society, she shares that success comes from learning and developing oneself. “I like to think of myself as a constant work in progress; I am never stagnant. So while every year brings on more responsibilities, more daily stress… there’s also more perspective.”
