Look! "Crazy Rich Asians" Star Henry Golding Is On The Front Row Of Tom Ford's Spring 2019 Show At The New York Fashion Week
Crazy Rich Asians lead actor Henry Golding (aka Nicholas Young) attended his first Tom Ford runway show yesterday at the Park Avenue Armory, and he was sitting on the front row alongside actress Rita Wilson, actor Tom Hanks, rapper Cardi B, and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.
Thankyou @TomFord for having me, the 3rd act of the show almost had me gasping and in tears... Beautiful ?? #Repost @nytimesfashion ··· Power front row at Tom Ford starting off New York Fashion Week. From left, Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks, Anna Wintour, Henry Golding and Cardi B.
Henry was naturally overjoyed by this invitation. And on his Instagram account, he expressed how grateful he is for the amazing experience of being among the first ones to see Tom Ford's newest pieces and sitting alongside fashion and film industry icons. Henry took to social media to share his "fan boying" moment over Tom and Rita, reposting a photo, which shows him clearly having a great time with Anna and Tom, from Metro Society's Instagram account.
Some say you should never meet your hero's... In the case of @tomhanks, nothing could be further from the case. He is wonderful, everything I ever wished and looked up to. This is a pic of Anna being the consummate host and me totally fan boying over @ritawilson and Tom... ?? #Repost @metrosocietyph ··· Scenes from the @TomFord #SS19 show. ?? The handsome Malaysian actor has been wearing Tom Ford for the promotions of his box-office drama-comedy film—which has been the no. 1 movie in America for the third straight week—so it made total sense that he got a front row seat at the brand's Spring 2019 fashion show. He wore a pink Jacquard Atticus Cocktail Jacket at the Crazy Rich Asians premiere in Singapore, and a pastel blue tux for the movie's premiere in TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX in Hollywood, California.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Henry said, "It was a statement, for being a big Asian movie, to have an Asian leading man being dressed by the biggest menswear designer in the world who only dresses A-list stars. I was so happy and so lucky.”
With the popularity he's currently enjoying, it won't be surprising for him to reach this A-list status sooner than he thinks. Henry's next movie is called A Simple Favor, a mystery thriller film directed by Paul Feig, which is scheduled to be released next week, September 14. His co-stars are no less than Hollywood heavyweights Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick.
At the rate he's going, this could be the start of him being a crazy rich Asian himself, as more crazy wonderful things are sure to come Henry's way in the near future!
