Look! "Hwayugi" Actress Oh Yeon-seo Could Totally Pass As Local Showbiz's Maricar Reyes-Poon's Sister

If you’re looking for a new fantasy romantic comedy series to watch, the South Korean show Hwayugi (A Korean Odyssey) is worth following. Set to debut on ABS-CBN primetime block today after Since I Found You, the drama stars Korean actors Lee Seung-gi as Son Oh-gong and Oh Yeon-seo as Yumi (Jin Seon-mi).

Hwayugi offers a very entertaining and interesting plot for viewers. Its lead female character, a real estate CEO, is capable of seeing evil spirits and supernatural creatures. She meets a savior in Son Oh-gong, a powerful immortal who was exiled into the world of human beings.

While we can't wait to see the chemistry between the show's lead stars, we also couldn't help but admire the beauty of Oh Yeon-seo, whose looks (and that bedimpled smile especially!) resemble that of Filipino actress, model, entrepreneur (the owner of the famous Chocoliquor Cakes by Maricar), and bestselling author of 10 Things We Fight About Maricar Reyes-Poon's. Like Oh Yeon-seo's character in Hwayugi, who has a supernatural power, Maricar was also part of fantasy TV shows La Luna Sangre (where she played the role of a vampire) and Bagani (where she played the role of a goddess).
