What We Know So Far About Hyun Bin and Son Ye-Jin’s Wedding

Crash Landing on You stars Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin are so close to becoming husband and wife. And we cannot wait till we see these reel- to real-life lovers glowing with happiness in their wedding ensembles (finally, BinJin fans no longer have to settle for a photoshopped wedding portrait of the two!).

Since confirming their relationship on January 1, 2021, following a report by Korean media outlet Dispatch, fans eagerly anticipated the announcement of the engagement and wedding of Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin. And on February 10, 2022, what their fans and many K-drama fans in different parts of the world had been manifesting since shipping them as Crash Landing on You’s RiRi couple (Ri Jeong-hyeok and Yoon Se-ri) finally came true: they announced they’re getting married in Seoul this March. 

Their announcements came via heartfelt letters posted on their agencies’ social media accounts (@msteamenter and @vast.ent) as well as on Son Ye-jin’s personal Instagram account (@yejinhand). 

Here’s what we know so far about the upcoming wedding of this power couple:

The wedding date

It’s speculated that Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin are getting married on the 30th of March一an insider info that was allegedly leaked last month, reportedly from a close acquaintance of the two. (The latest update, as of March 15, is that the wedding might happen on the 31st of March instead, according to some media outlets). However, their agencies haven’t confirmed the final date yet.

The wedding venue

The wedding is reportedly taking place at Sheraton Grand Walkerhill’s Aston House in Gwanjin-gu, Seoul. The venue has a classic and luxurious style mansion that also features a sprawling garden with stunning views of Han River and Mount Acha. In their website, the place is described as: "Designed in luxurious Jacobean style, Aston House emanates the classical atmosphere of a 17th century British royal mansion. It offers a finely crafted style united with elements of Korean interior design." It is the perfect location that will give that destination wedding feel even though the couple chose to not be away from home and hold their big day in Seoul, close to their families and friends.

The wedding outfits

Son Ye-jin was tapped as a muse or brand ambassadress of Italian luxury fashion house Valentino last year. Valentino also happens to design bridal gowns, so there’s a possibility for her to wear one of their creations. Celebrity brides who wore custom Valentino for their weddings include Nicky Hilton, Anne Hathaway, and Courteney Cox. 

Meanwhile, last year, Hyun Bin was also launched as Tom Ford Beauty’s brand's ambassador or attaché for the Asia Pacific market. Tom Ford is an American luxury fashion house that also offers formal ready-to-wear and made-to-measure suits. Although Hyun Bin specifically endorses the brand’s perfumes, with his relationship with the brand, it won’t be surprising if he wears a Tom Ford suit when he meets his bride on their big day. 

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin, who became a couple shortly after their series Crash Landing on You wrapped up, also starred in the 2018 action/thriller The Negotiation. They were also tapped as endorsers of mobile services provider Smart Communications, Inc., and the campaign photo shoot and TVC they did for the brand marked the third time they worked on a project together.
