Hyun Bin And YoonA Might Reunite In The Movie "Confidential Assignment 2"

Confidential Assignment 2 is happening, and it could reunite actress YoonA with actors Hyun Bin and Yoo Hae-jin.

According to a report by Munhwa Ilbo, YoonA was offered the female lead role in the sequel of the hit 2017 film. 

In Confidential Assignment, Hyun Bin plays the role of Im Cheol-ryung, an officer of a special investigation team in North Korea, tasked to catch his superior who stole master plates used to print counterfeit money and fled to South Korea. Yoo Hae-jin is Kang Jin-tae, a detective from Seoul who's assigned to monitor the activities of Im Cheol-ryeong while he's in South Korea. YoonA is Park Min-young, the sister-in-law of Kang Jin-tae.

YoonA's agency, SM Entertainment, confirmed this news, saying, “YoonA has received the offer to star in Confidential Assignment 2, and she is reviewing the offer.”

Her role in Confidential Assignment was just minor, but she made an impact with her portrayal there and displayed good chemistry with Hyun Bin. This is why the sequel seeks to make her a female lead, and possibly explore the brewing romance between her character and Hyun Bin's.

Both Hyun Bin and YoonA are currently working on other projects. After his successful K-Drama Crash Landing on You, he's now filming for the movie Bargaining. She, on the other hand,  is confirmed to star in the upcoming JTBC drama titled Hush and is also filming for the movie Miracle.

In other news, Hyun Bin's Crash Landing on You partner Son Ye-jin is said to have been offered the lead role in a historical drama with actor Kang Ha-neul.
