It's finally here: the much-awaited music video of Hallyu superstar IU with K-pop supergroup BTS' V for her upcoming single, 'Love Wins All.'

IU released the music video for 'Love Wins All' on January 24 at midnight KST. The MV, which is five minutes and twenty-two seconds long, became the 3rd trending video for music on YouTube in the Philippines just a couple of hours after it was uploaded.

The emotional and cinematic video, with Concrete Utopia director Um Tae Hwa at the helm, features IU and V as a couple struggling to survive in a post-apocalyptic setting. The chemistry of these idol-actors is so palpable—we want to see them in a K-drama together!

The MV's storyboard begins with the two running through a forest, as they are followed by a seemingly ominous and flying cube-shaped robot (which is mentioned as a 'special guest' in the MV's credits part and what ARMYs think is Suga's sugar cube in variety web series Suchwita). While looking for a place to hide in, they find themselves in an abandoned building, where a pile of rubbish catches their attention. The song begins to play, and IU and V find an old camcorder. Each time they look through its lens, they see their partner and their surroundings with a fantasy filter that shows the exact opposite of the situation they're in. In this dream sequence-like turn of events, they are dressed nicely and get to indulge in good food.

The two play dress-up, donning wedding ensembles and later immortalizing the memory with snaps at a photo booth. They share fun and romantic moments, even singing onstage together as if they are in a wedding reception. The heartwarming scene is interrupted as the cube resurfaces to chase them. They find themselves on the run again and end up in the area with the mountain of clothes.

V tries to break the cube but to no avail. They are left with no choice but to stay still, with IU embracing V and him holding her hand. As the cube gets near them, IU covers V's eye and they stare at the cube in tears. The next frame shows the camcorder on the floor, with its screen showing and recording the feet of the couple as they float in the air. The camcorder runs out of battery. The two are now nowhere to be found, and all we see are their clothes floating and eventually falling on the waste pile.

IU's pre-release single, 'Love Wins All,' will drop at 6PM KST today.

IU is making her highly-anticipated music comeback this year. It was in December 2021 when she last released the special mini album Pieces. In March 2021, she launched her fifth studio album, Lilac. She took a back seat as a singer, as she focused on her acting projects in movies Broker (2022) and Dream (2023).

With her comeback as a singer this year, IU also recently announced her first world tour, '2024 IU H.E.R. World Tour Concert,' and the Philippines is one of her stops.
