Surprise! James Reid And Nancy Of Momoland Will Star In A Teleserye!
We bet you didn't see this one coming! What a sweet surprise from ABS-CBN
The weather in Manila today may have been gloomy, but this piece of good news surely brightened up the day of many who are following the careers of artist James Reid, South Korean girl group Momoland and its member Nancy (Lee Geu-roo).
Earlier today, the hitmakers behind the viral songs "BBoom BBoom" and "BAAM" received a warm welcome as they entered the premises of ABS-CBN via a grand red carpet entrance. Momoland and their talent agency, MLD Entertainment, signed a multi-project deal with ABS-CBN. And the first project of Momoland's members is a travel series that will feature them going to different places in the Philippines.
This collaboration with the famous K-Pop girl group sure is a welcome treat, especially since Filipinos are known to be fans of hallyu stars. Momoland has been going to the Philippines for concerts and pocket events, bringing them closer to their Pinoy fans.
But what definitely caught many by surprise was the announcement that James Reid and Nancy of Momoland will be paired in a teleserye that will be produced by Dreamscape. Following the news of James not renewing his contract with Viva, his talent management company for seven years, to forge "his own path in the entertainment industry" via his record label Careless Music Manila and family management company Reid Entertainment Inc., he is immediately making waves with this groundbreaking project.
The upcoming teleserye of these two musically-inclined artists will be called Soulmate, and it is slated to be released on January 2020. Soulmate will be directed by Antoinette Jadaone, the same director James worked with in the teleserye On the Wings of Love and movie Never Not Love You, which he both starred in with his real-life girlfriend Nadine Lustre.
