New Couple Alert! Janella Salvador And Markus Paterson Make Their Relationship Instagram-Official

With their adorable online displays of affection, Janella Salvador and Markus Paterson have officially gone public with their relationship! 

It was sealed with a kiss. And a hug, to boot. 

Janella, a 22-year-old actress and singer, and Markus, a Filipino-British up-and-coming actor, have been rumored to be an item since last year. Younger showbiz fans have painstakingly paid attention to even the most minute of details of the two celebs who could give away their relationship status, but both Janella and Markus managed to keep their privacy intact for months. 

But now that they're Instagram-official, fans aren't only ecstatically telling non-believers "I told you so," they're also busy tracing the cookie crumb trail back to the beginnings. 

Here's what we know about their relationship history, so far!

As it seems, the Janella-Markus love story blossomed in 2019, or at least, they began dating in 2019, maybe a little before summer. How do fans know this? 

Well, there were two trips that looked like they gave them away: one is a beach trip and another vacay in Japan. 

Neither Janella nor Markus ever posted photos of each other, or photos together, on either trip, however, fans (the most sharp shooter-eyed of them all) were quick to point out that their posts on IG stories of both holidays had similar backgrounds and were uncannily of exactly the same places, posted just hours or days apart.

There was also the matter of Janella cropping a photo of her with a mystery person's arm around her, and Markus posting a photo of himself wearing what was unmistakably the same jacket as Janella's faceless companion.

Then there's also the fact that the two had been spotted numerous times out and about in Manila's malls, which in hindsight were all likely couple's days and nights out. 

Let's not forget that both of them have been put in the hot seat about each other in separate interviews.

They've both been asked upfront about their relationship status and, as expected, were very coy and indirect about their answers. 

All Janella had said in the past was that she'd like to keep her privacy, while Markus simply said that this has been his first "serious" involvement with an SO, and that it wasn't time, just yet, to make any big announcements—until now.

Just yesterday, both Janella and Markus took to Instagram to post separate couple photos that confirmed their relationship status.

Janella picked a black and white photo of them locked in a tight embrace—shot in Japan, no less. 

Markus, on the other hand, went all-out and posted a brief clip of them that is not to be underestimated. Though just seconds-long, it shows them slow-dancing to a song and sharing a kiss. And if that doesn't scream "official couple," we don't know what does. 

How sweet are these two? Oh, to be young and in love!
