In Photos: Scenes From The Launch Of Janine Gutierrez's Nail Salon
The fashionista is now an entrepreneur, too!
Actress Janine Gutierrez is now an entrepreneur! The fashionista—who has been a regular face at A-list events (such as the recent Carolina Herrera CH Red Club anniversary party) and was present at the recent New York and Paris Fashion Week events wearing stunning, fashion-forward ensembles—has turned her love for all things beautiful into a profitable venture.
The young Janine just launched her very own nail salon, I Do Nails, at Ayala Malls The 30th in Pasig. Her definition of me-time has always included getting her nails done and de-stressing with foot massages after a long day’s work, so this business is right up her ally!
She also admits that she has picked up a lot of knowledge in this beauty department along the way, having done countless photoshoots, where directors and brands have asked her to style her nails in a certain way to fit the theme or mood of the shoot.
For Janine’s personal nail care regimen, she always makes sure that her nails are clean, sets aside time for foot spa, and experiments with different nail art designs. “It’s an instant pick-me-up,” Janine quips.
When asked about what makes I Do Nails different, Janine shared that, here, she wants people to feel like they can do anything with the right tools. “Having healthy, cute nails can be a huge confidence booster,” she points out.
The intimate launch was attended by Janine’s family and closest friends, including her parents, Ramon Christopher "Monching" Gutierrez and Lotlot de Leon. Excitement filled the air as the ribbon was cut, symbolizing the official opening of the nail salon.
A milestone like this deserves to be celebrated in the most festive way. And what better way to do just that than by having a lavish, scrumptious spread from her favorite caterer?! Naked Patisserie—which has also been a preferred supplier of many other celebrities like Janine's uncle Richard Gutierrez and his fiancée Sarah Lahbati for their own parties—was there at the event to delight guests with a mix of sweet and savory treats; of which, Janine says, "Cold cuts are my favorite!"
When asked what advice she has for young female entrepreneurs like herself, Janine says, “I know it can be scary to start something on your own, but if you really believe in it and want it to happen, just take it step by step.”
