The PDA Continues For Jennifer Lopez And Ben Affleck After Making Their Relationship Instagram Official

"Bennifer" is back on, and Jennifer Lopez made her rekindled romance with Ben Affleck Instagram official in the steamiest way!

She celebrated her birthday last July 24, and the 52-year-old singer, dancer, actress, and businesswoman partied on a private yacht in the South of France. She flaunted her stunning figure and posted a series of photos of herself in a two-piece Maison Valentino bikini, a Dolce & Gabbana kimono cover-up, and a Nick Fouquet hat. But once you swipe to the last photo, J. Lo had a surprise for everyone: she and Ben Affleck are back together!

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were rumored to have reignited their relationship months back. And J. Lo sure knew how to put all the rumors to rest.

In a separate Instagram post, J. Lo posted another video of her dancing around, where she's seen wearing a custom necklace that's apparently a gift from Ben.  

She was previously engaged to New York Yankees baseball player Alex Rodriguez. They began dating in 2017 and they got engaged in March 2019 in the Bahamas, but they announced their breakup just last April 2021. Jennifer and Alex called off their engagement with a joint statement, where they shared that they realized they are "better as friends" and that they intend to continue remaining friends. "We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects," they added.  

 

Soon after news of their breakup made headlines, Jennifer and Ben were spotted hanging out with each other in her Los Angeles home. There were several more instances when paparazzi spotted them in the same places, although they weren't photographed together, but those were enough to fuel rumors of a Bennifer reunion.

Now that they're officially a couple again, Bennifer seems to be more comfortable being seen out and about together. In the South of France, they continued Jennifer's birthday weekend with a luxurious dinner party with friends in a private yacht and at a club in St. Tropez. 

There, an insider told E! News that they couldn't take off their hands off each other, saying, "They held hands, they hugged each other close and they kissed." 

At one point during this trip, the couple even playfully recreated a famous scene from the music video of Jennifer's 2002 hit "Jenny From the Block," where her then-fiancé Ben grabbed her butt.

Now, people were also wondering why her ex-fiancé Alex was in the same destination as Jennifer and Ben, and it's because Alex also celebrated his birthday there on July 27 with family and friends. Jennifer and Alex had apparently planned a joint birthday celebration in the French Riviera prior to their breakup, and they both just decided to push through with the trip, albeit separately. 

From the South of France, Bennifer is now vacationing in Capri, Italy, and the PDA continues here. They were spotted holding hands while walking around and window-shopping.

Ben and Jennifer met on the set of the rom-com Gigli in 2001. At the time, Jennifer was still married to her former back-up dancer Cris Judd; the two filed for divorce in June 2002. In that same year, in November, Jennifer and Ben got engaged, and he proposed to her with a custom 6.1 carat pink diamond ring from Harry Winston. They made public appreances as a couple and attended events together, including the July 2003 premiere of their movie Gigli. 

However, as their wedding came closer, Jennifer and Ben decided to take a break. They released a statement: "Due to the excessive media attention surrounding our wedding, we have decided to postpone the date. When we found ourselves seriously contemplating hiring three separate 'decoy brides' at three different locations, we realized that something was awry. We began to feel that the spirit of what should have been the happiest day of our lives could be compromised. We felt what should have been a joyful and sacred day could be spoiled for us, our families and our friends." 

Finally, in January 2004, they broke up and called off their engagement. A few months after, Jennifer got married to singer Marc Anthony. Meanwhile, Ben tied the knot with actress Jennifer Garner in June 2005. 

In July 2011, Jennifer and Marc, who are parents to fraternal twins, announced their separation. He filed for divorce in April 2012, and it was finalized in June 2014. Ben, on the other hand, also announced his split with Jennifer Garner in July 2015. The couple and parents to three kids filed for divorce in April 2017, which was finalized the following year.
