Ji Chang-Wook And Kim Ji-Won Are Paired Up In A New Short-Form Drama
The 12-episode series is said to be directed by the same man behind the trending K-Drama "It's Okay to Not be Okay"
Could we be looking at the next great K-Drama pairing? Ji Chang-wook and Kim Ji-won are reportedly in talks to star in an upcoming series titled City Couple's Way of Love. The 12-episode drama will premiere this November.
Both the management agencies of Ji Chang-wook and Kim Ji-won have released statements regarding the news.
"Kim Ji Won’s potential appearance in the new drama City Couple’s Way of Love is positively being discussed," according to SALT Entertainment. On the other hand, Ji Chang-wook's Glorious Entertainment agency said, "He received the offer and is reviewing it."
This KakaoTV offering will be directed by Park Shin-woo, the same director behind the current trending K-Drama It's Okay to Not be Okay as well as Encounter and Don't Dare to Dream. And if you're familiar with those dramas, you'll know that they're well done. Add the fact that the script will be written by Jung Hyun-jung (I Need Romance series and My Romance is a Bonus Book) and Jung Da-yeon, and viewers are surely in for a treat.
Ji Chang-wook is currently starring in the K-Drama Backstreet Rookie with Kim Yoo-jung. Kim Ji-won, meanwhile, is set to appear in the second season of the series Arthdal Chronicles, opposite Song Joong-ki.
