To say that Korean actor and K-pop idol Jinyoung is the overall package would definitely be an understatement. Not only is this handsome oppa an amazing singer and dancer, he's also a charming, versatile actor一wow, that's one sentence packed with adjectives, and we're not even exaggerating!

At his fanconcert (brought by concert and event producer PULP Live World) held last February 26, Jinyoung entertained his fans and made them feel loved in different segments. With the concept 'Rendezvous,' he couldn't contain his happiness and excitement about meeting the Filipino Ahgases (Got7's fandom name) once again. 'I miss you so much,' he told the ecstatic crowd. The last time Got7 held a concert in Manila was in 2019.

Here are three things we absolutely loved about Jinyoung during his super fun two-hour 'Rendezvous' #PARKJINYOUNGinMNL2023 fanconcert:

He didn't just do a fanmeet一it was indeed a fanconcert!

Unlike a fanmeet where the program is mostly Q&A segments with games and challenges, Jinyoung's was dubbed a fanconcert for a reason.

Aside from his own songs, such as 'Cotton Candy' and 'Dive' from his recently released solo album Chapter 0: WITH, he also delighted the Ahgases with Got7 mash-up performances of hits like 'Nanana' and 'Home Run.' Just when fans thought the event was over, Jinyoung came prepared with sets of performances enough for not one but two encores.

His sense of humor is on a different level of awesome.

How refreshing it was to see an idol of his caliber charmingly showcase his sense of humor onstage! He exchanged jokes and engaged in a hilarious banter with fanconcert host Kring Kim! He even cracked jokes of his own onstage with such great timing and on-point delivery, making the fans laugh out loud. When a fan shouted 'Jinyoung, saranghae,' he shouted back at him, saying, 'Nado!' which basically means he loves him too!

During a segment called 'Actor Park Jin Young,' he had recordable plush teddy bears which, when pressed, rewinded his pre-recorded voice notes; when the fans were shouting, and he couldn't hear the recordings, he hilariously told the crowd several times, 'Ssshhh!' Or when he was asked what his similarity with his Yumi's Cells 2 character Yoo Babi is, he said, 'Face.'

For the 'Jinyoung's Moments' segment, where rare photos of Jinyoung were shared, he said that he's the one who often takes photos of the other members so he doesn't have a lot of photos of himself. He shared in jest, 'I have so many pictures in my cell phone of the other members… Very dangerous cell phone. I have to destroy it.' When host Kring asked what his favorite subjects to photograph are, he said that he used to take lots of photos of his fellow Got7 members, but these days they've all been about 'sightseeing,' adding jokingly that it's because he's alone and even sung 'Lonely. I have nobody!'

During a segment where he gave gifts to his fans who were celebrating their birthdays on that day, he wrote them letters onstage. Fans were asked to tell him the messages they wanted him to write. One fan said, 'Marry me;' but instead of writing that, he was quick to come up with a code for it and wrote 'M.M' with a heart symbol, and the crowd erupted into laughter.

He showered the Filipino Ahgases with so much love.

Jinyoung prepared lots of surprises for his fans and even had gifts for a lucky few. He was very generous with hugs and really interacted with the crowd. He took photos with some of them (even adorably art directing their poses together) and gamely granted a fan's wish for them to recreate onstage the dance battle of Jinyoung and his fellow Got7 member Jay B in the K-drama Dream High 2.

In return, the fans made sure to make Jinyoung feel extra loved with a special video presentation filled with heartwarming messages and words of encouragement for their idol. After seeing the video, he said, 'Thank you so much and I love you so much Philippines.' He added through a translator, 'Nakakalungkot dahil isang araw lang tayo nagkasama... Pero pinapangako ko sa inyong lahat na babalik ako and sana you'll still be healthy hanggang ako'y muling bumalik.'

Before the show came to an end, Jinyoung told the Filipino Ahgases, 'Thank you for being with me. I didn't expect to stand in front of you guys without the rest of my members… I hope this album and this fancon that I prepared with so much effort could be [a] driving force to look forward to next time we meet, and thank you so much for coming today.'

Jinyoung made his entertainment debut in 2012 through the K-drama Dream High 2, and in that same year, he and his fellow trainee at the time Jay B were launched as a duo called the JJ Project. Then in 2014, he debuted as a vocalist of JYP Entertainment's boy band Got7. He starred in K-dramas like He Is Psychometric, The Devil Judge, and Yumi's Cells 2, and will soon star in a webtoon-based series titled Witch.
