Julia Barretto's Birthday Was A Pretty Replica Of Her Dream Destination, Amalfi In Italy
The lemon groves of this Italian seaside town lend their pretty rustic views to an even prettier birthday girl in this special occasion!
Every year, Julia Barretto challenges her mom, Marjorie, to think of a party theme that's both sophisticated and telling of her current loves and style inspirations.
As well-traveled as she is, Julia often chooses to throw birthday parties that allude to her travel goals and bucket list destinations, with Marjorie never failing to pull off an idea! Trading in last year's Mexico-inspired bash complete with banderitas, bright blooms, and festive OOTDs, she opted for a more grown-up get-together that matched her daughter's blossoming maturity as a young woman.

"Julia challenges me every year to come up with a theme for her birthday... I’m just so happy that out of so many possible venues, she always chooses to have it in my garden," Marjorie wrote on Instagram two days before Julia's birthday.
As a "do it yourself" kind of mom, Marjorie also emphasized her happiness in getting to style Julia's 22nd birthday, as it marks her last year of living under the same roof as her mom and sisters. The young actress has been in the process of getting ready to move out, with her home under construction and ideally ready to be moved into before the year ends.

Partnering with florist and event stylist (and celebrity favorite!) Gideon Hermosa to bring this birthday's vision to life, Marjorie oversaw the setup that began at 6:00a.m. sharp on Saturday morning and ended right on time for Julia's big day on the 10th.
After working non-stop throughout the day, Gideon and his team came up with a professionally designed setup complete with a lavish summer-ready tablescape by Casa Luxia, faux lemon trees (complete with yellow lemons hanging from branches!), and yellow-hued blooms like sunflowers, orchids, roses, and tulips—overall, a stunning view for both the celebrator and her guests.

Come the night of the party, only a select group of friends of Julia and her family turned up, a protocol they often follow to keep events like this as intimate and meaningful as possible.
There to share in the evening's joyous mood were fashion desiner Rajo Laurel, Julia's industry friends Maymay Entrata, Janella Salvador, Issa Pressman, Juliana Gomez, Chie Filomeno, and Erich Gonzales, sister Claudia, Ina Raymundo, Karla Estrada, co-star Ian Veneracion, and of course, her partner, Joshua Garcia.
The latter led guests in the evening's awaited highlight—multiple rounds of happy birthday singing! Holding onto a tiered and frosted cake from the Naked Patisserie, Joshua ushered Julia's party's attendees to surround her in a display of celebration.

Judging from all the photos posted from the evening, it looks like guests were advised to come in coordinating outfits too, most of whom arrived in light earth tones that went beautifully with their surroundings.
The birthday herself was a looker in a taupe skirt and ruffled crop top, while a second outfit in cheerful yellow that she changed into brought out her more playful side.

Speaking of playfulness, Julia's guests didn't hold back when it was time for them to share the stage with her. Many of them belted out tunes in solo and duet performances for Julia, with Joshua even offering her his version of Parokya ni Edgar hit "Harana" before sharing the mic with her for a surprise rap number, and Ian Veneracion breaking into an applause-worthy dance number!

At the end of the evening, Julia's guests also posted their own tributes to the now 22-year-old, definitely not holding back with their sweet messages.
Maymay Entrata wrote, "Barretto Family maraming salamat po sa isa ako sa pinaka swerteng taga hanga nyo na mas kilalanin kayo di lang sa telebisyon pati narin sa totoong buhay. Happy Birthday Ms. Baba @juliabarretto naway patuloy pa ang blessings naiyong matatanggap at sa mapagmahal mo pa lang na pamilya ay blessed ka na."
And Ina Raymundo said, "Happy 22nd Birthday my Baba Julia! Life will only get better and more exciting for you so brace yourself! I love you!?? ?? ???? P.S. You are so sexy and gorgeous!"
We're sure that the memories made on this special evening will last Julia a lifetime, and we couldn't be happier for her as she begins the next year of her life filled with bold new adventures.
